The hotel is clean and the rooms are nice, no-frills rooms. Location is convenient to downtown (about 10 minutes via I-35). There is a mediocre mall across I-35 from the hotel and an HEB (grocery store) very nearby. Aside from fast food, though, there are no decent restaurants in the immediate area. Visiting Lackland from the UK. Minimum Breakfast facilities - coffee was terrible. Friday and Saturday evenings VERY NOISY, children running up and down veranda's shouting/screaming until after midnight, plus adults standing outside rooms shouting - no consideration for other guests. The south park location of La Quinta is the best I have ever seen, such an intelligent staff. No less than the best in Customer Service. I particularly enjoy the continental breakfast that they offer and quick access to the freeway in to the downtown area. I would highly recommend to anyone! more
