We just enjoyed another wonderful weekend at the legendary St. Anthony Hotel. The St. Anthony in all of its historical grandeur would be hollow without the people that staff this great hotel. Jesse Cirlos, the guest service manager, is one extraordinary person that made our stay so satisfactory. There was a small issue at check in but Jesse handled the... More

This is a grande dame of a hotel that has aged poorly. Restoration is in progress, and the staff is dedicated with an exception described below, but the physical plant and furniture has deteriorated to an extent that is disgusting and disgraceful. On one day my "fresh" towels came decorated with clumps of long brown hair. The handles were missing... More

While the lobby & public areas of this hotel were gorgeous, that's where its charm stops. My boyfriend didn't want to stay the night because he was certain it was haunted! Creaky bed (every turn was heard), dirty & broken furniture, and a tiny bathroom! The bathroom was cramped and could barely fit one person at a time. The only... More

This hotel is downright terrible. The rooms are run down and the furnishings are broken. Our dresser had 6 broken off handles! There was no bathroom counter, and the bathroom was barely larger than a coat closet. The shower barely comes out at a trickle, and one time as I was showering, the water actually STOPPED working in the middle... More

Yes, the hotel is under construction. Yes, things are a little off because of that. But the staff are awesome. Every single one speaks to you, whether it is just a polite nod or asking if you need assistance. This was consistent across valets to engineers. For a historic hotel, spaces are large and comfortable. The location is superb. Two... More

From doorman, housekeepers, vale, all staff were very friendly. That alone makes a perfect stay! They made everything much more comfortable. The hotel is across from Travis Park, so peaceful. There's a nice Subway about a 5 minute walk. A Walgreens about a 3 minute walk. The hotel I'm sure it was one of the best at one time. It... More

We booked this hotel for a 3 day weekend trip to San Antonio. We understood that the hotel was undergoing renovations, but when we contacted the hotel we were assured that the 2nd phase of renovations would be completed well before our stay and the only part of the hotel that would be available would be fully renovated. We arrived... More

We spent a weekend night here in September 2014. Yes, they're renovating. No, it absolutely does not matter. We experienced perfect service and the lobby is breathtaking. It's a gem of a place that's half the price of the RiverWalk, which is just a block and a half away. Our room was not yet renovated, but we caught a glimpse... More

We got this hotel through Priceline.com's express deal. I immediately went to trip advisor for reviews and was very nervous about the renovation construction that other people talked about, but I could not cancel the reservation. My husband and I really liked the hotel and the location. It looks like this hotel was very sophisticated before it was neglected. We... More

When we went the hotel was under renovations..aside from the renovation commotion it is absolutely beautiful! I loved our suite, and the amenities fit our needs perectly. The renovations will have made this hotel even more breathtaking!
