Our second stay at this location for business. We chose it for it's close proximity to the Convention Center, just about 20-30 steps. Room size and furnishings are nice, but not exceptional. Restaurant on River level serves buffets for all meals, or you can order from the menu. Food pricing is comparable to other restaurants in the area. However, selection... More

Connected to the convention center, the location is the best in San Antonio. It was so nice to be able to leave my coat in my room and not drag it along to the CC. The bar is a hit at night, and the coffee shop is always open- so nice for a late snack and drink. All of the... More

This was the first time for me to check myself into a hotel, but hotel personnel assisted in the process. It was also the first time for me to find a travel size tube of toothpaste together with the more commonly available shampoo, conditioner, and lotion in the bathroom. Another rarity was that wake up calls were handled by humans,... More

Grand Hyatts on the east coast tend to have special touches and furnishings that add elegance and comfort. Not so much here. It's nice enough, but the furnishings are a little on the discount side. The hotel is next to the convention center and has an exit on the River Walk. It's a convenient walk to downtown. Common areas (lobby,... More

This hotel looks very stunning on the outside. The lobby is huge with a nice atmosphere. The restaurant and bar are adjacent to the river walk. The hotel is conveniently located in front of the River center shopping area. The pool was average at best and not very busy. The rooms were very beautiful, however, the view outside my room... More

We spent a week at this elegant, modern hotel while attending a conference next door at the Convention Center. The location was excellent, a pleasant walk to restaurants while not right in the middle of the noisiest places. We were there in early December, and the Christmas lighting on the Riverwalk made for a particularly lovely experience. We enjoyed sushi... More

I chose to stay in one of the hospitality rooms which are super spacious and well designed. The sofa bed was very comfortable and pillows were perfectly fluffy. :-) I had room service every morning with the same order which I had requested on my first day. Everyone was amazingly friendly, courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to... More

If you are in San Antonio for a show or conference at the Gonzalez Convention Center, the Grand Hyatt is definitely the place to stay. Rooms are tastefully modern, with plenty of space and working area, and great views of either downtown or the Tower of the Americas. Beds are extremely comfortable, with plenty of pillows. Service is prompt and... More
