Typical Grand Hyatt experience. Personable, friendly staff, good amenities, excellent conference facilities. Restaurants are pricey. Go over to River Walk to eat. Located directly next to the San Antonio Convention Center (our conference was entirely in the hotel). Not too far from River Walk, but not "directly" on it. About a 5 to 10 minute stroll over to it. more

Pros: Lovely in many ways. Lots of hospitality and high end toiletries. They provided me w/a free NY Times when I asked about one. We justed returned from a 3 night stay. My husband was on business and I was pleasure. The hyatt is a few blocks away from the riverwalk, the alamo and about 10 minutes from the airplort. Accompanied my husband to a business conference. Staff was friendly but concierge failed to arrange for daily newspaper delivery as promised. The bell personnel were great. I stayed here for a conference. Even to go to the convention center it's "connected to" you must go outside. It wascompeletely redecorated a few years ago - into a 1970s motif.
