After reading a previous posting based on the same room we had booked, we were a bit concerned. But we had a totally different experience. Both hosts were extremely accommodating and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. Breakfast was delicious, especially the french toast with peach and orange glaze. We did not find the room uncomfortably small. It held a... more

We stayed at the Bonner Garden for 3 nights for a wedding we were attending. The house is nice and the rooms are clean, but the hostess made the experience miserable, We got there late because of work, and the husband, Jim, was perfectly nice about it. We didn't sleep much because the walls are paper-thin and the windows were... more

Enjoyed three nights at Bonner Garden for a business trip. SO much more enjoyable than a cookie-cutter hotel. Grounds and room were immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Location north of downtown, but traffic was never bad. My only disappointment was that it was too cold outside to swim in the big pool. more

This home in the historic distric was beautiful, well kept, large well appointed rooms, beautiful tropical grounds and pool with nice view from roof of home. Host were more than willing to accommodate special needs of the guest and were most gracious. Breakfast was also good with fresh fruit, homemade coffee cake and banana bread, sausage, and special french type... more

My husband and I picked this b & b because it was rated as a good value for the money. We did not want to spend what it would have cost to be in lodgings close to the River Walk. We had a fantastic week in San Antonio in large part because of our accommodations. This is an elegant b... more

Great Place with a wonderful location within San Antonio. Innkeepers are very friendly and serve a delicious breakfast. We enjoyed their company along with the history of the house. The decor is very lovely. We will be back again! more

We have stayed at the Bonner Garden Bed and Breakfast in San Antonio on multiple occassions. The ambience of the house itself, which is a historic building and former home of a known San Antonio artist and socialite, is exquisite. The inn rooms are meticulously restored with antiques and all rooms have modern-day amenities, such as remodelled bathrooms and comfortable... more

The Bonner Garden is a beautiful house with a number of fine rooms - we stayed in the quiet and airy Portico room, with its own entrance to the pool. The pool is big enough to actually get a swim in and when we felt like a break from the "exercise", we went up to the the roof terrace to... more

This is a nice b&b in a lovely residential neighbourhood and the room was nicely furnished. There is only one restaurant within walking distance, but it is a nice texmex with good service. You will need to drive to get into San Antonio itself- but that is good, because the town is a bit tacky- see below. The pool is... more

My daughter and I stayed one night at Bonner Inn. This for myself was the one B&B I personally was most excited to stay in on our trip. I am an admirer of female artist who can gain notoriety in their careers. We stayed in Mary Bonner's studio, which was comfortable although very musty smelling. The main house was very... more
