Fabulous innkeepers, friendly, on top of everything, good social hosts. Artist Mary Bonner built the house at the turn of the century with a detached print studio and her art still hangs in the home as well in fine art galleries in the city. The home also later belonged to the Grose family who were pioneers in area banking. The... More

If you are looking for a nice, clean, & quiet place to stay in San Antonio, this is the place! Margi the owner is very nice. It's definitely a nice place to stay if you are on your honeymoon or want to celebrate an anniversary. My husband and I have stayed there twice now and plan to go back again... More

The Bonner Garden B&B is located in the safe and beautiful Monte Vista neighborhood near Trinity University, 15 minutes drive from the airport, and less from downtown. There are coffee shops and restaurants in the area, and we could walk to the northern part of the River Walk in 25 minutes (it's another 20 minutes walk to downtown). The Bonner... More

My wife and I stayed at the Bonner House for a weekend getaway, and were not disappointed with any aspect of our stay. Our hostess, Margi, greeted us and showed us the beautiful house. We were especially interested in the house since we own two of Mary Bonner's prints, and Margi provided us with information about the artist and where... More

Margi and Jim are fantastic hosts. We were dropping off our son at Trinity University as were all of the other guests. Beautiful room and so quiet. The location is wonderful for Trinity, but also great if you are working downtown. Breakfast was great! Such wonderful fruit and Margi's baked goods are too good to resist. We will be back... More

Our stay was lovely from start to finish. Margie's breakfasts were made from scratch! Though we booked the cheapest and smallest room, it was perfectly comfortable and attractive. There were plenty of books, movies and magazines to borrow, and the whole house was immaculately clean. I felt pampered! Wish we could have stayed more than two nights! Tip: take a... More

This was our first time going to a B&B and the experience couldn't be more wonderful. Jim & Margie were wonderful hosts: Inviting, welcoming, and friendly, but allowed us our privacy at the same time. The house was immaculately clean and well maintained, all while honoring the age of the house with the decorations. We stayed in the Garden room... More

This was a very nice, quiet, elegant B & B about 2 or 3 miles from the Riverwalk. It was a good choice. Not only was it a beautiful home, but it was reasonably priced - and parking was free, unlike some of the downtown hotels. We stayed in the studio, which is attached to the house rather than in...
