A Yellow Rose Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located within walking distance of all the top sites of downtown San Antonio. I thoroughly enjoyed walking to the River Walk, Market Square, La Villita and The Alamo. My room was large and had lovely historic charm. The King William neighborhood is diverse with a wide range of historic homes of all... More

Loved the neighborhood. Easy to walk places or catch a trolley. Deb made a fabulous breakfast and delivered it to our door every morning. Clean and restful spot. A fun escape from the cold weather up north. Deb and Kit are friendly and helpful hosts.

Large clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed. We stayed at the Bordeaux room. One block from King William street with beautiful old houses and two short blocks from the River Walk with easy walk to the center of the city. The Mad Hatter for breakfast and lunch around the corner, the Bliss restaurant less than a mile away. We loved... More

Meeting Syeira was the highlight of our stay at A Yellow Rose. The location couldn't have been better. We were able to walk everywhere. Proximity to the River Walk, to many local restaurants, the Blue Star Complex and even to the Enterprise Car Rental made it ideal. The King William Neighbourhood is beautiful. The Magnolia room and bed was very... More

We spent two nights in this charming B&B. We didn’t miss too much the lack of personal welcome as the owners were available on the phone. Our room ("Bordeaux") was large and nicely decorated with ancient furniture. The bed seems also quite old, mattress very soft. Free and fast WiFi. The room has a large bathroom. Location: very central, close... More

This was a comfortable and private place tucked away from the touristy parts of the city, but still accessible and in a historic neighborhood. The entire Provence Room suite is very spacious with tasteful decor. The huge bathtub turns into a jacuzzi and is a relaxing place to end long days of sight-seeing with a mug of tea. The owners... Clean, pleasant. Good location. Poor bed, mattress needs to be replaced. But owners not present for check in or 'check out'. One time we called, got voice mail. This is just a room. Not a bed and breakfast.....not that good a deal.

I'm sorry you were unhappy with your stay. Although we were not here when you arrived, I caught up with you soon after and saw and spoke with you each day you were here. It's not uncommon that I cannot get to the phone each time it rings but I do return calls usually within a few minutes. Re: the... More

I've stayed at the Yellow Rose several times and just love it! It's nestled in the King William historic district and is conveniently located to the riverwalk and some fabulous restaurants that are within walking distance. The accommodations are lovely and comfy. My favorite room is the Provence Room with the guest porch. Deb is awesome and had some great... More

Our room at A Yellow Rose was spacious and very well-equipped. We loved the historic neighborhood, and the suggested walking tour. We had a rental car, but hardly needed it here: there were several appealing restaurants within easy walking distance. The River Walk, also a short walk away, was a very charming experience.

My second visit in two years from Florida and can't wait to return after this 5 night stay. Love the room and the great King William Historic neighborhood, with it's wonderful homes, amazing local restaurants, and ambiance throughout. Visited my old favorite watering holes and restaurants 2 blocks away in Southtown, The Friendly Spot and the Liberty Bar, and added... More
