When I found out that the former Alamo Bank Building had been turned into a hotel recently, I jumped on the chance to stay there. We have stayed at the Drury Plaza 5 times in the last 6 months and chose this hotel for all of our overseas wedding guests. The services are great - the breakfast meant our guests weren't wandering around San Antonio looking for breakfast and the evening drinks were great for a group partial to a few. My husband, siblings and their husbands and wives traveled to the San Antonio Riverwalk, for a family reunion. There are 2 Drury Hotels on the Riverwalk. We stayed at The Plaza which is the better of the 2 I think. My siblings stayed at the other. We chose the Plaza only because of it's historical significance - old bank building... more

We stayed 3 nights at the Drury and did not need to have a car. Location was centrally located to the Alamo, the river walk, shopping areas and dining. Enjoyed the old Alamo Bank building as a hotel and the breakfast and happy hour. Room was very nice and the bed was excellent. We would definately go back to this... more

We were delighted with this hotel. It is a beautiful building and the rooms were comfortable. The location was perfect. We did not need a car. Restaurants and entertainment were all within easy walks.
