This location is great! It is next to the Riverwalk and a block from the Alamo and other downtown locations. This hotel is a unique experience. It is a converted warehouse - high ceilings, exposed brick, large windows. The other reviewers are right about a noise factor. We stayed on the third floor. The "white noise" machine is the air... The Riverwalk Vista is an unexpected gem in the otherwise much over-rated city of San Antonio. The handsome old building has been treated to a tasteful restoration. Both guest rooms and public spaces feel autthentic, yet elegant and relaxing. The only flaw was the sporadic staffing. While staff members were extraordinarily nice and helpful when they could be located, it... More

Patty, one of the staff was great and all of her help with recommendations were spot on. The noise is not that bad. If you are a cranky stick in the mud like some of the bad reviews that I read, then you should go to a corporate giant and shut up. This hotel speaks of Texas past with modern... More

This was my very first trip to San Antonio, and I feel like a really lucked out with this inn! The location is perfect - right next to the Riverwalk and just around the corner from the Alamo. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Warm, fresh baked cookies at 3pm, wine at 5pm. And the rooms! Impeccably clean, comfy... More

This bed and breakfast has only a dozen rooms or so and is so unobtrusively set in the middle of the Riverwalk area that it's easily missed. It's in an old 3-story building, that I understand originally was a market with horses kept on the first floor. The restoration is very tasteful--comfortable, without sacrificing its rustic charm. The breakfasts (included)... More

Once you stay at the Riverwalk Vista, I promise you won't want to stay anywhere else when you come to visit San Antonio! We've stayed in many of San Antonio's fine hotels over the many years we've visited the city, such as the Drury chains, the La Quintas, the Marriotts, the Hyatts and even the grand Menger. This hotel blows... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Riverwalk Vista for five nights and loved it! The rooms were comfortable - just like home and every day we got homemade cookies and wine. The breakfasts were great as well, although it seemed like it was almost the same hot portion everyday. The location was incredible for the good price - less... More

We stayed at The Riverwalk Vista for 2 nights in September 2008. The hotel is well-located, just across the road from steps down to the Riverwalk, at arguably it's most popular section, with lots of bars & restaurants within a 5-minute stroll. It is also close to the Alamo and a 15-minute walk to the Tower of the Americas, so... More

Beautiful room, calm and quiet public spaces, nice breakfast, terrific location. Comfortable bed, very quiet inn. We loved this place. The inn is just around the block from the Alamo, right across the street from a stairway access to Riverwalk, but it is a peaceful oasis in the middle of the hectic touristy bustle that is San Antonio. It was... More
