When I see that a hotel is "historic" I immediately think small. However, this is not a historic hotel, but a historic building that has been converted to a hotel. As a result, it has all of the cool parts of being historic (wood floors, wood doors with real keys instead of plastic cards; charm) without the cramped spaces or... More

The Riverwalk Vista has a very nice security via a code to enter the gated hotel and then access to an elevator to the room floors. The overall appearance of the hotel despite its aged structure is very clean and neat. Our room (305) was a large front room with a partial view of the Riverwalk and right next to... More

To keep it short, the hotel is an historical one so it looks vintage. Although they have cîntate furniture the net and bathroom are modern. So it feels cosy. The staff, from the minute you walk in untill you leave, treat you like family. You make the check in in your room. Breakfast is great (not so much meat or... More

We arrived and the issue with no parking is easily resolved. Our issue with this place is that our room had a large air conditioner unit that blew cold air down on the bed which isn't healthy, esp for those with asthma like me. Also, the breakfast was okay-nothing homemade and the hard cooked eggs were already peeled which is... More

We were very surprised this particular guest left after staying for two nights and not notifying us of any issues. The AC units have many modes to choose from and with assistance choosing the dry mode on the AC unit will not use the fan. There are also ways to direct the air up or down. We were unable to... Spent a weekend at the inn for a family event. Although finding the entrance and parking are a bit challenging, once inside it is a charming place to stay. The staff, particularly Patty, are friendly and the breakfast was nice. My son really appreciated the cookies and lemonade in the afternoon and people gathered for a glass of wine in... More

I recently had the privilege to stay at the Riverwalk Vista Hotel. I've stayed in San Antonio a few times in the past at the larger nationwide chain hotels and decided to try a smaller hotel this time. What I liked best about this hotel was the location, it's right in the center of the Riverwalk area. While this hotel... More

On our way home from a wedding in Memphis, we decided to fly into San Antonio and spend a few days. We had heard about the Riverwalk, and thought it would be a good opportunity for a visit. Well, we were not disappointed. The Riverwalk Vista was such a great location, facing the Riverwalk across the street, and........ we had... More

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great short walk to everything downtown. Bed was awesome. Our view of the riverwalk was beautiful. David who checked us in was great, he helped us with our luggage and gave us a very nice room. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Well maintained historic hotel. Breakfast is included and wonderful, with lots of fresh fruit. Afternoon snack of cookies, and evening wine. Only about 17 rooms, I would be compare it to a large B&B. Steps from the Riverwalk, and a block or 2 from the Alamo. A great value. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends, and would... More

The title says it all, this place is just down the road from the Alamo and right across the street from the riverwalk, the room looked out onto all the action. That is a good thing but also has a bad side. The noise is annoying when you're tired of all that action. That being said the hotel itself is... More
