After the bellman took my luggage from the cab, I noticed the palm trees! The lobby is tastefully decorated, and in spite of being very close to the freeway, I never heard any noise from the street in any part of the hotel. We saved some serious cash on this hotel by booking directly through La Quinta's site and requesting the AAA discount. Our rooms, a King and a double Queen, were large and comfortable. We stayed here because it was walking distance from The Riverwalk. The hotel was alright, and the price was just right (my gf works for HEB and we got special rates). A no choice conference hotel for us that turned out to be a recommend , if you dont mind walking perhaps a mile to the river/center of town. Usually one hard pressed reception person.Good parking.
