The service, the owners and their southern hospitality were amazing!!! The room delux for the price, the bed incredibly comfy and beautifully appointed. There's no other place for us and our standard poodles in San Antonio! THe hotel is well located close to Riverwalk and now has a restaurant open ( it was under construction when we were there). It... More

I wonder if some of the low reviews have a different hotel or just don't realize this is a very old building. It is beautiful and has character. It doesn't have a restaurant so not sure why a reviewer was upset about no room service. I felt the room was beautiful and elegant yet updated touches with a flat screen... More

I am so very glad I chose to stay here for my visit to San Antonio! I travelled from Ireland for a business trip at the Convention Centre (directly across the street) and it was a terrific choice! Such a nice change from the usual chain hotels. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Marrisa. Texas was unexpectedly cold... More

Me and my wife stayed here for our honeymoon and the hotel was nasty! If it wasn't for a relative having already payed for a few nights we would have left! I will let the pictures do the talking! There was a crack in the exterior door that let bugs and hot air in! The restaurant and room service wasn't... More

Our room was facing La Villita, on the second floor. Very nice staff was friendly and helpful. The porch was a bonus for morning coffee. Near the downtown sights and river walk. Great place to stay for the Susan G Kohman Run for the Cure.

Fantastic experience. this beautiful Victorian building, decorated with authentic Victorian furniture and accessories and colors. this building comes complete with even a hint of being happily haunted. In the center of downtown, right across the street from La Villita, the convention center, moments from the Riverwalk and all the fun that comes with it. I'll definitely be returning here!

My husband and I stayed in this historical hotel while on a child-free drive-about around Texas. We walked into the room and our jaws dropped. The decor was elaborate and authentic, complete with wooden sloping floors, where you could have a fun game of marbles, if you had your children with you or had a few in your pocket. Very... More

It is a really nice and cozy hotel, old style, really beautiful, great atmosphere and it´s location can´t be any better. My wife and I enjoyed the stay for the weekend, it´s so close to the river walk witch makes it wonderfull!! If you are looking for something different to the big chain hotels, this is a great option!!

We stayed here for the weekend, as a gift from some friends. The Fairmount has an amazing history and a really great atmosphere. Derek, the valet on duty, was awesome! I cannot say enough about how helpful and friendly Derek was during our trip. The rooms are decorated in antiques and the courtyard is really beautiful. The Fairmount is not... More

We booked this trip through The Fairnount before reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. We were fairly concerned after reading reviews but our stay could not have been more perfect! Upon arrival, we were informed our room had been upgraded to a King Suite with a beautiful view. The room was lovely and very clean with no issues. The bed... More
