In San Antonio for a week on business I was delighted to not be in a large, faceless, mass produced and international hotel like the Marriott or Hilton visible from my window, but in this beautifully restored, unique 1909 office block - The Gibbs Building - within 100 metres of the Alamo. Wonderful restored marble and wooden flooring, retained Art... More

Nicely remodel hotel. Stayed in a large 2 room corner unit, which was very nice (could see the Alamo directly). The front desk staff was very, very helpful with things to do and find. Checking in was very quick. The hotel itself has no parking other than valet. Right next to the building is city parking which was self pay.... More

This historic old hotel was delightful. The staff was very helpful - every one of them. If you are anticipating modern day posh, you may be disappointed. But if your expectation is a good location, affordable, within walking distance of the River Walk and Alamo, give this location a try. Then the appreciation for the restoration of the building, the... More

Where do I start about how bad this place is.1st the noise of the night club outside our windows that music was shaking the windows. 2nd the parking said free on the website but it was $25 a day. 3rd the on site bistro staff where so rude and would not wait on us. There are so many better place... More

We enjoyed are stay at this historical building converted to a hotel. It was an easy walk over to the Majestic theater. The staff were friendly and efficient. Be aware, the only parking available is valet. The good part about that is I felt my car would be more secure than parking in a random downtown lot.

Linda at the front desk was such a huge help. We have stayed at Hotel Indigo on the river walk, however, we really enjoyed staying at the Alamo! The hotel staff overall were very welcoming. Our suite had an amazing view! We will definitely be back :)

This is a neat place with character. It is literally across the street from the Alamo and is a short walk to other local attractions, including the Riverwalk. The staff was very friendly and helpful, including the valets. A great place, especially for the price.

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights during a conference. I arrived late, around midnight. After I unpacked and climbed into bed, I noticed a loud humming noise. I turned off the AC, but the noise was still there. I've since figured it to be water pipe noise. Anyone who has stayed in older buildings knows this noise. Or... More

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Indigo San Antonio on Thanksgiving Day, November 27 with my work crew. After checking in with Dennis Garza who provided superior service at the front desk, he informed us of all the activities downtown on this festive holiday. This hotel is in the old Gibbs building across from the Alamo, Federal Building, and old Woolworth store. It sits on the northwest corner of the Alamo mission. Guests will be greeted with wooden and marble floors, high ceilings, and spacious rooms. Room layouts are different from each and offer outstanding views of the Alamo and San Antonio. A bistro...
