Having stayed at the Hotel Havana (and its sister properties in Austin), I can say without hesitation that these places are not for everyone. They are especially not for non-adventurous types who bask in chain hotel comfort and expectations. But for those who crave something different and unique, the Hotel Havana is one of San Antonio's true charms. The nearly... More

I was so exited when my husband booked a room at hotel havana, as it was our first trip to San Antonio on our wedding anniversary. We stayed in Hotel Havana for 3 days. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean with the wooden floors and an old fashioned refrigerator. So, when... More

What a charming hotel! The queen suite room was roomy and comfortable. I love the vintage look fridge in the room that not only serves as a mini bar but also allows for you to store your own items. You won't find that in just any hotel. Bed was super comfy and the shuttered windows on the ceiling were beautiful!... More

Yes, the physical property is nice. Yes, the room is furnished with antiques. But so much is lacking: the room is dark, and almost impossible to read in. All the bits of paper in the room relate to selling you something: overpriced snacks and Mexican sodas (I guess it's too much to expect people to walk to the many Mexican... More

The Hotel Havana is all about its colorful and old world Cuban motif. This hotel has style! The rooms are spacious and decorated in an old Havana style, as well as the lobby and restaurant which overlooks the river walk. I have never been to Havana but this is what I imagine it to be like, although everything in the... More

Very comfy beds in large rooms, decor dark wood with pops of colour , an old building with character , great restaurant on the river and a moody bar underground , positioned on the river walk for a lovely stroll and the Alamo a short bike ride away.

Wonderfull funky historic hotel. Loved the furnishings and beautiful old floors. Our room was not too big but had everything we needed, the king bed was super comfy, and the frig fully stocked(for a price of course). Loved the veranda on the 2nd floor, and room service was fast and ...the food from the downstairs resturant was amazing!! Glad we... More

Great historic hotel and they have a friendly, professional staff working there. There are lots of little sitting areas and balconies to play cards, read, and study. The location is hard to beat too! I enjoyed the room, tidy and more unique than most- definitely worth staying at just for a change of pace. I had to take away a... More

My family came in from all over the country to celebrate our brother's wedding. Our family is from Cuba so we were so excited to see what Hotel Havana had to offer. We loved the feeling of the property, we felt the staff at the desk and in Ocho exceeded typical expectations. The rooms were simple yet very comfortable. Charming... More

I was in Texas for business and not sure what city I would end up in. Because of meetings in San Antonio I happened to find the Hotel Havana. I got lucky they only had 2 rooms left. I just stopped no reservation the girl at the front desk was great. This is one of the coolest places Ive stayed... More
