The potential for this beautiful home and accessibility to the River Walk/downtown is amazing, the breakfast was tasty and different both days. If based on this only, we would have given a FIVE rating. However, we arrived at 5:20, and the proprietor was not there-- check in was 5-6 pm. Also, the house attendant was late in the mornings, and... More

I stayed only one night but wish I could have stayed longer. The owner, Paula and all of the staff were great, the room was very nice, and the breakfast was excellent. Both Paula and Ruby (who made the killer breakfast) went out of their way to be helpful. Beautiful home, wonderful neighborhood and great walk along the river to... More

Yes, this is a charming house and so could be a great B&B. Another reviewer noted the absentee proprietor, however, and we found that to be a problem too. The owner greeted us (though we had to wait outside for about a half hour for her) and was very friendly and helpful with lots of directions and ideas. Then we... More

This review is not meant to be mean but to help the proprietors of the inn. We were disappointed at the lack of detail present at what looked to be a quaint inn on the internet. The up stairs room we had in the carriage house lacked the charm we had expected. The proprietor greeted us and escorted us to... More

This was the first B&B that we have ever stayed at in the USA. We chose it because of the location to the River walk which is a few minutes walk away. We were in the Carriage House, the room was lovely and clean although the shower head was not the best and could do with replacing. Breakfast was great... More

Staff was very helpful and we felt at home with lots of privacy! Beautiful place! The river walk takes about 20 minutes if walking. You can start the walk just about a block from the house. The trolley will pick you up just 2 blocks from the house so it is very convenient.

This B&B is charming, with wonderful staff, accomodations, breakfast & location. So very easy to downtown if you're willing to take a 20 minutes River Walk stroll. The neighborhood is outstanding with so very many old mansions so well maintained. Such a good value. Check it out.

My husband and I loved the neighborhood of this B&B. The Riverwalk and all its entertainment were in easy (albeit cold in January) walking distance. The King William district, with all the turn of the centuries mansions, made for an interesting afternoon walk. And there are plenty of great restaurants and cafes just a few blocks over. (I highly recommend... More

Beckmann Inn is the perfect place to stay in San Antonio. It is in the historic King William District and just a block to the Pioneer Flour Mill (with a delightful cafe and gift shop.) It is also just a block from the River Walk. You can walk along the river all the way to downtown. In addition to being... More

We recently spent two nights at Beckmann Inn in the King Willliam historical district and found it to be charming and innkeeper, Juliet, a wonderful, thoughtful host. She also makes the best breakfasts! The location is perfect-- across the street from the Guenther House restaurant and a pleasant walk along the river to the bustling River Walk. The self-guided walking... More
