I recently stayed in the Curwen house, honeymoon suite, and when I read the other reviews of travelers here I believe the decor of the rooms varies greatly. When I booked I was told I had the only room in the Curwen house during my stay, so I assumed I had the nicest room of its kind, but sounds like... More

My boyfriend and I visited the Salem Inn last May for a 5 day vacation. We stayed in the honeymoon suit (even though we were not honeymooners). The Inn was wonderful and the room was perfect with a kitchen, large bathroom with jacuzzi tub, and private entrance and exit with a porch. The bed was huge and very comfortable. It... More

What a cozy place, clean, bright, excellent breakfast at the Inn, linens smelled fresh, not hard or starchy. Within easy walking distance to the YMCA, CVS, Dunkin Donuts and all other tourist attractions, just minutes to the waterfront. We had a kitchenette in each room, one room had 2 baths. We had 4 of us in one room and 6... More

Booked a room at the Salem Inn recently--we were attending a wedding in Salem and needed overnight accommodations. We had been warned that parking was a real issue in Salem. When we reserved a room at Curwen House, we were told by Salem Inn staff that we would be guaranteed a parking space during our stay as Curwen House had... More

Stopped in Salem for two nights on a New Englad adventure. Our choice for accommodations was the Salem Inn because we love history, and historic buildings. The Salem Inn was exactly what we wanted - its location was perfect. It was a short walk to the picturesque harbor, where we were able to go for a sail on the Fame,... More

Dear Jenny D, We are so glad you enjoyed your New England adventure, and your two night stay at the historic Curwen House of the Salem Inn. The room you stayed in (#13) is one of our favorite honeymoon suites, with it's original, exquisite detail. Perhaps you will come again after Halloween, and be able to enjoy the warmth of... More

October is our favorite month to come and visit Salem and the Salem Inn. We've been doing this for years and the weather is always delightful - cool, comfortable and dry, and the Salem Inn has always been such a welcoming place to stay. This year we had a large room on the third floor of the West House that... More

Located within walking distance from most seasonal (Halloween) attractions-rooms nicely furnished. We were on 2nd floor-only down side-not easy carrying your own luggage up staircase-would be worse if had children in tow and were on one of the upper floors-that being said, highly recommend the hotel-the transport company we used from train station was excellent - KT's transportation, enjoyed the... Just spent an amazing three days in Salem at the Salem Inn. Halloween season (the entire month of October) rocks! With its haunted houses, great restaurants, beautiful harbor front and historic walking tours, there's never a dull moment. Our stay at the Salem Inn was the best - located right in the middle of it all. Our big, beautiful room... More
