I rated the Northey Street House a five based on the following reasons. I called the Inn Keeper, Flora, and my call was promptly returned. The B & B's location was within walking distances to the main Salem sites that we wanted to see. We stayed Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the last week of January. We thought the prices... More

Thank you Terri so much for your glowing review! I'm delighted that you enjoyed your full service Bed & Breakfast experience and that we have your support for our no-shoes policy. It's the Asian way, but it's also the Martha Steward way. When I'm looking for accommodations for my own travels, I love reading the detailed reviews that tells me... More

My friend and I made an unexpected, last minute trip to Salem. Flora was great - responded to my email inquiry right away and booking was smooth. We stayed in the Woodbury Room. Clean, attractive, reasonably priced and she was able to provide us with a single bed in addition to the queen in the room. Northey is in a wonderful... More

Flora and Jeff were gracious hosts during our New Years visit to Salem. Flora even let us change the dates slightly at the last minute because of inclement weather, and she called around to restaurants to try to get us a last minute New Years Eve reservation. We were delighted that we could easily walk to the Peabody-Essex Museum, and... More

Stayed at Northey Street for two nights this past October (2015). It was such a nice experience. The B&B is very cozy and immaculate. Flora, the owner is a very sweet woman and great cook. She is also very knowledgeable in where to go. Would definitely stay at Northey again.

My husband and I travelled to Salem so that I could see the statue that was put there for One of the most beautiful actresses that ever lived ! ( Elizabeth Montgomery) I was such a fan of her TV show ; "Bewitched "(In the 70's as a child ) and when I had a daughter born the day before... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for my birthday and it was delightful. The bed and breakfast is a historical house with a lot charm that is a short walk from the downtown. We stayed in the garden room which is as beautifully furnished as it is cozy and comfy. The innkeeper, Flora, and her husband, , were lovely hosts... More

I just got home from my first trip to Salem and decided to rate my weekend (I've never written reviews before). This place is convenient to all the attractions and the garden room I stayed in is lovely & relaxing. Flora is very knowledgable about the town and so friendly. Great breakfast and I met wonderful people from all over... More

Stayed here for a weekend; however, we were on the run Sat and Sunday so we didn't get to enjoy the home itself. Our hostess, Flora, was great. She welcomed us into her home, explained everything we needed to know, and provided us with as much privacy as we wanted. She made herself accessible to us if we needed information... More

My niece and I spent a couple of nights at this B&B in October. The location is a short walk to all the seasonal sights and sounds in Salem - our visit was in October and Salem is all decked out for the holiday. A beautiful park is also just a short walk away. A nice addition is a binder... More

We had the garden room - very nice and easy in and out. The B&B is in a convenient location to downtown (about a 5-8 minute walk from the main drag), and fairly priced for the time of year we stayed: Halloween week. Shower is great (good pressure, good fixture and heat - although the curtain needs changing), and the... More
