The woman behind the front desk was unhelpful and rude. She wouldn't give my girlfriend and I a key to one of our rooms because we hadn't had yet paid for a second room that we booked for later. She was completely unreasonable when we were late for a wedding ceremony and just wanted one room to quickly change clothes.... More

big room, love the towels, dog friendly, don't walk to town. parking is 75 cents an hour and lots of garages to park. ice machine in office and that closes up for you night owls. the picnic spot has one table claimed by the long term residents on the other side of the property. the price was good for a... Rooms are outdated and smell of industrial strength disinfectant. Inadequate window a/c unit-which maid turns off when you leave room for the day! You probably could walk in to the center of Salem from the Inn,but the neighborhood is scarier than the witch museum! Yes, the kuerig coffee maker is a nice touch, but I'd much prefer a lock of some... More

Great overnight stay. Comfortable clean large roomy. I would recommend for longer stays. Centralized for visiting the area. We stayed in a very large room with a queen bed, staff advised us all the rooms in our section were slated to be remodeled and fitted with king size beds. This will definitely make this a number one stop.

My wife and I stayed here for a Friday and Saturday night and enjoyed our stay. We had chosen this Inn due to the close proximity to downtown Salem and the good price. The room was immaculate and comfy. The area was quite with the Inn off the road a bit and they had a great selection of K-cup coffees... More

and other places are full, stay here, at what is essentially a motel with higher ceilings, better towels and a fair amount of grass where few seem to have picked up after their pooches. They charge extra per pet, and $25 if you dare check in after midnight--because you might disturb the two staff members and their cat at the... More

While traveling to Boston my sister, mother and myself decided to visit Salem. I called several hotels but they were booked or $250.00 and above for a room. On the Salem web site I found the Clipper Ship Inn at $135.00 a night. I asked if they had a room with double beds and a pull out couch. I was... More

In most parts of the country, this would be an average outdated $49 motel. However, Salem has very few hotels and if you insist on staying in town in the summer, you are going to pay a lot for the privilege. The room was a good size and completely clean. Staff was friendly. WiFi speed was good. That's all the... More

My family and i visit Salem every year and we always stay here. This was the first year i stayed with just a friend and i found it was very easy to walk to downtown Salem. Its about a 15-20 minute walk but for a Brooklyn girl that was nothing. This hotel was defiantly worth the price. The staff is... More

Facility quite ok and clean. Carpet in bad condition. We had a mouse in the room which disturbed us quite a lot in the night and we had to put any food away. Had a room on second floor with queen bed. Good location to visit Salem.
