My Husband and I had a weekend stay right before Halloween. We had a bumpy start when the hotel lost our reservations, but after a few moments of panic, my husband and I were checked in and everything else went very well. The room was spacious, updated, and very clean. I don't know what the cleaning staff uses, but it... more

We found this hotel to have a very good location but it was quite noisy. The doors to the rooms are not adjusted to close quietly and all hours of the day and night you hear slamming doors. We experienced a weekend wedding and the wedding guests were all over the hotel until about 3:15 a.m. Lots of loud talking... more

The concierge (David) at this hotel was so friendly, as was the rest of the staff. I am a clean-freak. This property met my standards. The pub offered decent food at a fair price. Breakfast was always slightly chaotic. That was due more to some unruly guests (children) than the staff. Salem is a neat place to visit. We were... more

I've stayed here two summers now for brief trips to Salem with my daughter. Enjoyed everything about the hotel. The indoor pool is smallish, but bright, sunny and clean (unlike many indoor pools which seem dim and dank). The rooms are modern, clean and again, bright. I always splurge and stay in the King one-bedroom suite, so I can put... more

We stayed in Salem in January (the off season) but were there mainly for seeing the town and sight seeing. This hotel is very conviently located. You can park your car there and walk everywhere. It is located right by the National Park Service Historic Park. We also enjoyed the Peabody Essex Museum and a walking tour of the historic... more

This is a lovely nonsmoking hotel located close to everything. You can walk a few steps and for $10 you can ride the trolley all day and see all the sites, with easy on and off stops. You WILL see ALL of Salem if you do this. We stayed in the King Suite with wet bar. It was lovely. Only... more

A nice hotel with everything you need for a few nights in Salem. Nothing too fancy but clean rooms & convenient location. The pub was a nice place to get a drink, the food was decent. When I stayed at the hotel I was a first time visitor to Salem. The staff was able to recommend good restaurants and attractions,... more

We had intended to stay longer here in Salem but Fly Globespan cancelled our flights twice so we were limited to just one night. This turned out to be an ideal choice after a long flight - Salem's not far from Logan Airport and this hotel has vast bedrooms with comfortable double kings. Dinner at Finz just around the corner... more

Unfortunately our second floor room had a loud background hum which we were told subsequently by the Concierge was a characteristic of the hotel's air-conditioning system. The following night we were moved to the room directly above (the only other room available) where the noise was less, though still audible. The location was excellent - within walking distance of all... more

My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of this month and had an enjoyable stay. First I must add that I absolutely love Salem... have been to this city before in the past, but never stayed directly in Salem until now. A trip to Salem is definitely much better when staying right in the city and the Waterfront... more
