Stayed here mid November 2015 and had a wonderful time. Really enjoyed the absolutely authentic atmosphere, beautiful decor, comfy room, reading by the fire and chatting with Kay and Robin. I cant wait to return for a visit and bring my family. The Stephen Daniels House is one of a kind and so very special to experience. I cant say... More

Just got back from the Daniels House....I didn't want to leave. If you like generic, cookie cutter, sterile hotel rooms, this isn't for you. If you want a warm, friendly, comfortable, cozy, unique place with lots of character and charm, you have found your perfect place. It is located near all the attractions, but yet on a residential street with ample... More

Just spent a horribly scary night at this house. We couldn't pack up fast enough the next morning. We both had unwanted visitations that freaked us out - we were staying in different rooms. You may think it is cool to have a ghostly experience but when it happens, not so. DETAILS NEEDED TO KNOW IF YOU WANT TO STAY;... More

Amazing place, we were so lucky to get a room from daniels house on a weekend. We were greeted by robin the house manager very nice lady. Took us for a little tour and provided us with brochures, map of salem. The house was full of nooks and crannies beautiful antique furnitures. Muffins and fresh fruits, coffee for breakfast. Would definitely... More

We have been to Salem on two prior occasions. This time we traveled with friends who had never been to Salem. We decided to stay in a home that is a true representation of Salem and its history. The house is extremely interesting with all its' nooks and crannies. The owner Kay, has filled her home with an amazing amount... More

My first trip to Salem wouldn't have been the same without having stayed at the Stephen Daniels House. Not only is the house a historic gem, but it is within a very short walking distance from the Wharf and all other sites that are likely on your list. I stayed in the Acorn Room, which was on the third floor.... More

We arrived well after our intended hour yet Kay was still up waiting for us. As it turned out, we were the only guests that week. While I feel sorry for the other guests who were meant to be there but who fell ill, I cannot say that I didn't enjoy having the run of the house (along with my... More

I've stayed there last Halloween weekend, house is nice, furnitured with a lot of antique, but the service is awful. This is considered to be a B&B and they DO NOT OFFER A BREAKFAST. They have a pastries and coffee. That's it. Furthermore, I've gave them my credit card over the phone to hold a reservation and she charged me... More

Since I was a kid, I loved learning about Salem's history. I decided that when I became an adult, I would take a trip there. I'm a history/archeology nerd, the east coast is filled with historical sites. This summer I decided to treat myself & book a solo trip to Massachusetts.it was nothing short of an amazing experience. I was... More

First of all, you have to understand the house is a historical legend. It's actually OLDER than the House of the Seven Gables around the corner, which is a place where they won't even let you touch the walls because it's so old. But here, you can sleep and hang out and do whatever. This place is AMAZING. So it... More
