My husband and I recently spent one night in this beautiful home! Ada and Don are wonderful hosts, they make you feel right at home. The room was very comfortable, quiet, and very clean. The breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend this B&B, and hope to stay there again soon!

A friend and I recently visited Salem and had the pleasure of staying at the Amelia Payson House and immediately felt welcomed by Ada and Donald upon our arrival. The accommodations are beautiful and comfortable. The location is great for touring Salem. It's a short walk to Essex Street, with a park located at the end of Winter St. I... More

I first stayed here back in 2001 and after a 10 year absence came back to stay again. Ada & Don are the best hosts you can find in a B&B friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel at home. Their home is beautiful and on one the best streets in Salem. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bed was... More

We soooo enjoyed our stay here. It was the most relaxing and comfortable of all the accommodations on this trip. Inn Keepers Ada and Don were exceptionally hospitable, helpful, and accommodating in every aspect - and without being the least bit intrusive. All of their recommendations for restaurants and sights were spot on. The breakfast was just right - not... More

I recently stayed at the Amelia Payson House and it was a wonderful experience. I was welcomed as if I was one of the family, met new people who were just as nice that have been coming there for 15 years and the house was big and spacious. I had two beds in my room. I loved the ambiance, Victorian... More

I highly recommend anyone planning a visit to Salem to reserve a room here. I've stayed at many B&B locations around the world and this is definitely one of the best. The proprietors, Ada May & Donald, are two of the nicest people you meet and go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home. During my stay... More

What a perfect stay! Not only is the house within easy walking distance to all the sights of Salem, it is a quiet, quaint and beautiful residence. Our room, complete with canopy bed, was decorated with lovely antiques and was immaculately clean. Innkeepers, Ada and Donald, were delightful and went out of their way to ensure that we had a... We chose Amelia Payson House in Salem as our home for our three night stay in early September and are very glad we did. Ada and Don were very welcoming to us, Don even sharing his Scottish tea with me! We had a good sized room with a Queen and a single bed at the back of the house. The... More
