Very, very well designed. I really like the architecture. The facility is well maintained, the staff are friendly and courteous, and reasonably good restaurants are not far. I've stayed here a couple times, and I'll book here again.

Friendly staff experience, upbeat, engaging eye contact and very helpful. I would not describe it as a romantic hotel but an excellent location for business or leisure on the east side of Tucson. Three very good eating establishments, two within walking distance.

This place had the best continental breakfasts each morning, including eggs & meat! The pool was small, but clean. The 3 garden areas were pretty & well shaded from the AZ heat, Close to everything we needed & only a half hr to an hour drive to most of the popular sights!

Originally built as a one-of-a-kind private owner in 1979. It is a "hacienda" style building. Two stories. There are 3-4 separate but connected "sections" (I didn't venture into the other half of the hotel so can't say for sure). Centered in each section is Mexican style tiled seating surrounding a large decorative water fountain. Vines climb up the wooden slatted... More

When booking the room, I was impressed with the ease of the website. We mostly travel sigh our miniature schnauzer so we needed a pet friendly establishment. When we first arrived, the staff were very friendly. When we got to our room, it was much smaller than anticipated and also didn't seem very clean. Had a bad smell and there... More

I had planned to camp on Mt. Lemmon and hike in the national forest, but the campgrounds were either closed or full, so I drove back down to Tucson and wearily submitted to the guidance of my car GPS to find lodging with as little extra driving as possible. I am glad I found this place. It is in a... More

I had no idea that the hotel was on a shopping center parking lot when booking it. This means there's no official parking (only a few carspaces) you park at the shopping center. The inside of the hotel is really small, steamy and quite ugly. The rooms are dark, and the walls are thin : when the next door neighboor... More

Get this... In the past couple of months, I've stayed at the Washington Renaissance in DC, Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, Phoenix Airport Hilton... and I enjoyed the Comfort Suites @ Sabino Canyon more. Yes the Marriotts & Hiltons are nice and practically perfect in every way, but they really aren't 'homey'. Nobody at my home wears a uniform, I... More

We stayed at this excellent hotel at the beginning of our AZ tour and were so taken by it that we booked another night before our flight home. The location is excellent for accessing the beautiful Santa Catalina Mountains, as well as being well of the highway and hence private and quiet. The rooms are clean and well equipped, the... More

Our 3rd stay. We always get a King Suite for a 3 day stay while visiting relatives. Average suite, large, reasonably quiet and comfortable. The bkfst has a good variety and plenty of food. We have had a lot of trouble with the card keys in the past, but not as much this time. Front desk people were friendly and... More
