We stayed at the Aloft the first time and liked it. Figured we would give Marriott a shot. Beds were really soft and uncomfortable. We were gone all day and when we got back at 5pm our room was still not made up. Employees were not very friendly. Gift shop girl was very helpful and cheerful. We will go back... More

Clean rooms; friendly staff; daily newspsper. I was pleased with this hotel. It is quite for a larger hotel. Things ran very smoothly. Very generous with free water for guests! Very close to some nice nightlife on University Blvd. Staff gave me some good tips rcommending where to eat nearby.

The good: + Excellent location adjacent to UofA. + Clean, comfortable room. + Friendly, helpful desk staff. The not so good: + Marriott's WiFi policy stinks. Instead of simply offering free WiFi like most hotels & coffee shops (!), Marriott charges $9.95/day *unless* the guest joins the Marriott Rewards program. Why make your customers jump through hoops for something that... More

Thank you for your response in regards to your most recent stay. I am terribly sorry to hear that you were not fully satisfied during your stay. I have shared your comments with the leadership team to use for future training. You certainly should not have had to call three times for a fridge to be delivered and I personally... More

We visited the Marriott for our son's orientation at the University of Arizona. I hate to give this a bad review, BUT, here is why: 1. We paid extra for the concierge floor as they promised breakfast and happy hour. Unfortunately they did not tell us this was not offered on the nights we were staying. Paid more for nothing.... Thank you for writing a review of the Tucson University Park Marriott. I am sorry that there was an error in your billing the night auditor accidently charged you for parking which is an isolated mistake. Since I do not have your contact information if you would call the Director of Accounting, Terri Thurman at 520-629-2811 she will make the... More

Like other properties owned by John Q. Hammonds (Google it) and operated by Marriott the customer service is great but the hotel is a dated dump. I'm sure his hotel was nice in 2003 during the last remodel, but it is so bad now. If you HAVE to stay near UofA, stay at the newer aloft hotel. I'm a Marriott... More

Thank you for your constructive review of the Tucson University Park Marriott. Our staff works very hard at delivering a high level of service and I appreciate you recognizing their efforts. The hotel is scheduled for a renovation in 2016 which will address a majority of your concerns. Thank you again for your feedback. More

Stayed at this hotel again during the first week of June. Perhaps, my fifth or sixth visit to the hotel. It is located just outside the "main entrance" to the University of Arizona. It is a popular hotel for parents and high school students making an exploratory visit to the University. My experience has always been excellent. The hotel has... More

Stayed here, while in town for business. I elected to check-out early due to the service issues at this property. The customer service at the front desk was okay, and they did apologize for the ongoing issues, but unfortunately the ongoing issues at the property were enough to convince me to leave. I likely won't stay here, again.

It's pretty obvious that this is THE hotel if you want to be close to the University of Arizona campus. It lives up to Marriott brand expectations, with a large atrium with restaurant and casual seating area. But here's what I wish I knew before my first visit. 1. Book as early as possible. It fills up more than a... More

Thank you for filling out a review of the hotel. I always encourage guests to visit our website to view all the goods and services we offer and if there is a charge for them. This hotel is located right on campus....couldn't be more convenient if you're doing anything UofA-related (I was there to help my daughter move out of her dorm room). Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Bar was kinda small, but you're on campus and there are probably 2 dozen bars within walking distance. You might want to book early if attending... More

This is a great place to stay if you're visiting the university. So convenient! Check in was quick and friendly. The rooms were comfortable. A coffee maker and a mini fridge were in the room. Unfortunately there is a charge for wifi as well as parking. If you're a Marriot Rewards member the wifi charge is waived. The water pressure... More
