My first visit to Tucson and found Lodge on the Desert through an Internet search and loved the look, exactly what I was expecting in Arizona. I was very, very pleased. I was in town to move my daughter who was going to attend U of A, expected to stay at the Lodge for one night but due to her... More

I spent three nights at this very nice hotel. The room was large and clean as was the bathroom. The pool area was also nice and I liked the landscaping. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. I did not have a car, but it was easy to get to the city center with local bus. Two bus lines... More

We stayed at this resort in July 2011. Yes it is hot this time of year in Tucson, but there is so much to see and do and a lot of it is indoors. The resort is located in sort of a downtown area. Not a lot you can walk to but a short drive to everything you need. The... More

We stayed at the Lodge on the Desert while our son was in town for a short time with a college team...the front desk staff, both on the phone and in person, were helpful and very professional to deal with. The room (King) was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was well-appointed and clean. Parking was convenient to the room. The... More

The hotel is wonderful! It's quiet. The landscaping fits in with the desert perfectly. The rooms are nothing overly fancy, but the beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and nice. The pool is beautiful and is open 24 hours/day. And the restaurant is first class.

I purchased a one night package that included movie passes and breakfast for 2 (good deal!). The service in the restaraunt was awful. We (and everyone else walking in) were ignored. I asked another patron who got seated while I was in the bathroom what he had to do to get service and he said, "I had to grab them."... More

Thank you staying with and for your response to your visit. First of all, please accept my sincere apologies for the unacceptable service you received at our restaurant. No manner of explanation justifies your experience and we simply did not perform on that morning. I have taken the appropriate action to ensure that the circumstances which occured are not to... Great place to stay! Quiet. Kind, knowledgable, respectful, caring staff. A nice break from large hotel chains! Has UAZ discounts and large rooms! Older section has 2 large beds and a sitting room area- Great value for the rates. Stayed there x2 already this summer for short trips and definitely will return! Thanks Lodge on the Desert for being a... More

I've stayed at the Lodge 4-5 times now and it will always be my choice in Tucson. The location is central with easy access to the University, downtown, and the airport. As Finediner17 noted, the rooms are large, in several arrangements, but I especially like the older rooms with fireplaces, seating areas, desks, really comfortable beds & beautiful linens, and... I love this little place. Join the Stash Rewards program for stay points. I am always treated very well here. The lodge has old rooms and newer rooms. The old rooms are circa 1940's and have a quaint feel. They are old and you have to want that atmoshpere to enjoy them. After a stay in the old rooms I... More

This small hotel can be easily overlooked as it is in an unusual location. The "room" was actually the size of a guest house and was done in traditional Old Tucson decor--tile floors, stucco/adobe walls, etc. It had a fireplace, sitting area, desk area, large dressing-room central area and shutters. The neat thing was built-in bookcases filled with current books... More
