The staff here are either rejects from other properties or are all in training. It all began when attempting to communicate our desires when reserving our room. They do not know their own property and totally misrepresented the accommodations. This review is being written from the crappy room here the lodge. I am awake at 7 am after two hours... More

Wish we had had more time to spend on the property. A balanced mix of southwest adobe and Spanish colonial, the Lodge is a comfortable, clean place to land. Lots of character and great gardens. The restaurant was especially memorable -- great southwestern dishes and environment. Sad that they were out of the roasted red pepper tamales. Comfortable dining room... More

My husband and I stayed at the Lodge on the Desert this weekend. I had always heard wonderful things about this hotel and we decided to give it a try. First of all, the price was very reasonable. We were able to get the room, including breakfast, for $99. We did ask for a balcony, and the very friendly front... More

I was referred to this beautiful and relaxing oasis by a business colleague several months ago. Both times we've stayed here we have enjoyed not only a wonderful room and patio, the best cooked filet I've ever had at a restaurant, but also kind and courteous staff who make you feel that they truly care about your experience.

Ok, first out. I love this hotel, weve stayed here 3 times now and look forward to it each time. But this time we struggled with finding rooms to book and when we arrived they were quite full so we got a room out the back. It was ok, but had poor AC and the Wifi dropped out. We had... More

I had a good experience at the Lodge. My room was clean and well maintained, air conditioning was up to the July heat, though the windows were a bit small, that's part of the adobe look. The grounds were very attractively maintained, and the pool was lovely. All around a good stay.

We stayed at this out of the ordinary hotel over 10 years ago and while traveling decided to try it again. We were not disappointed. The grounds with great cactus landscaping and winding paths feel like you are at a resort. We were told our room was in the old section, not a newly renovated one. We found it to... More

I stayed here a couple of days while visiting Tucson. I wanted to try somewhere new rather than my typical jaunts so I decided to check out Lodge on The Desert. I mainly decided to stay here because of its proximity to downtown while still offering a resort like setting. The grounds were nice enough, the pool was a little... More

My friend and I stayed here for a “stay-cation” and purchased the lodging and breakfast promotion. Our room request was accommodated. The room was clean and in the new part of the resort. Overall the grounds are beautiful, but the pool had algae in it and the surface of the hot tub was badly chipped. The room was clean and... More

We made last minute plans for a 4th of July stay and loved it here! We had a 2nd floor room with balcony overlooking the pool, comfy king bed, and lovely bathroom. The shower was huge! Happy hour prices in the bar were cheap and the food was delicious, my husband loved the shrimp so much he ordered a second... More
