What do people expect when they want a low price motel? This Howard Johnson is just what I expected. The place is not new, some repairs to walls, etc. are poorly done, but it is a cheap stay. The breakfast consisted of cereal, scrambled eggs, potatoes, & various drinks; a little better than I expected. The staff was helpful. The... more

This hotel is not anywhere near as disgusting as the reviews suggest. It surprises me how some people view some properties just because they are older or run-down. Yes, the rooms could use a serious renovation, and the lobby some updating, but then I would be paying $50 instead of $35, and I don't want to. Instead, for my money... more

Arrived late in Tucson so booked a cheap hotel on Hotwire, thinking one night won't be that bad--yikes! Our non-smoking room was super stinky, old/new smoke who could tell. It was late so we didn't put up a fuss but I wish I had given that our pj's were so smelly we couldn't wear them the rest of our vacation.... more

The hotel grounds were cluttered with tents used for a gem show resulting in very limited parking. The surrounding area leaves little to be desired. No security by way of cameras or security personnel are provided. My truck was broken into and the ignition destroyed in an attempted theft. The hotel staff was not concerned and offered no assistance in... more

If you only care about price...This place is for you! No coffee in the rooms. Breakfast OK at best. Clearly they recycle condiments as 3 of 4 butters where closed but empty. The 2nd day they didn't even provide condiments. Room was not maintained as only 2 of 4 lamps worked. Staff provided new bulbs but the sockets were broke. more

I have not stayed in a hotel this bad in over 10 years. This was one of the dirtiest worst maintained hotels I have ever stayed in. We were there 1/18/08 for a volleyball tournament with a group of 12 year olds. All of the rooms were dirty, moldy and nasty with missing molding around the bottoms of the walls,... more

One more time, always surprised by the others reviews so I wonder if all these travellers have to take the road, if they are so severe in a judgment about a motel. When you pay $47 , you are not in a suite at the Carlton in front of the mediterranean see during the movies festival at cannes, France. Sure,... more

I read the reviews below and thought some people are exacerbating somehow. I am usually not fuzzy about hotels and went for the HoJo since $40 sounded quite like value for money. However, after a few minutes of arriving I regretted my decision. At the front desk I was commanded “photo ID and credit card!”. No “please” or “could I... more

We stopped at this establishment because it was close by (5 miles) to a family residence. The first room they gave us was on the second floor. we walked by a women who was "smoking out" on a fold out chair in front of her door. The room was extremely dirty and unkept. The electrical plug outlet was hanging off... more

First off location.............. BAD! if you have kids you don't want to stay here. We arrived in the evening with our 2 kids and as we were walking to our rooms this crazy crack head followed us all the way to the room. The rooms we gross! no lights in the bathroom and after a long drive we all needed... more
