I reserved a King, got two fulls- then the room we were given had luggage and clothes in it. The next room- the air conditioner broke. When I checked out the rate I was quoted was only given to me for 2 of the 4 nights... and then i was charged 6% city and again 6% state tax... which I've... more

The Hotel Arizona is in the heart of downtown Tucson and is a full service hotel with restaurant, bar, covered secured parking, pool, central location etc. Front desk and the rest of the staff are courteous enough. Issue is that this hotel is well past it's prime, old, dated and in need of a total remodel. In this economy and... more

I had a small gathering with some girlfriends and the hotel staff treated us all like queens! They were so thoughtful in everthing they did and presented to us. The smiles on the faces at the front desk said it all - this was going to be a nice stay! Thank you Hotel Arizona! more

We were travelling on a budget and the Hotel Arizona accommodated us nicely. We were able to check in early which was great because it was a hot day so we could freshen up before exploring Tucson. The air-conditioning in the lobby wasn't working very well but it was in our room which was the main thing. There's no breakfast... more

Some of the reviews were pretty scary but I found this an adequate place to spend the night. It appears that this place was pretty swanky in its day but it is showing its age. The elevators were slow and a little rickety but the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I found the staff to be friendly... more

My husband and I went to Tucson for a convention at the end of March 2009. Because the room rates were negotiated by the association, and the convention was being held at the nearby Convention Center, we booked at The Hotel Arizona. And -- after reading some of the reviews from January 2009, and looking at the hotel's website --... more

The hotel lobby and location are pretty good. I was actually pretty impressed with the hotel at first. Nonetheless, the rooms are very small and felt dark and old. Overall after two nights, i felt like I paid for what I got, and the hotel was just ok. They could definitely benefit from some room upgrades, at which point it... more

I stayed at this hotel with my fwife over Easter weekend. I booked through hotwire, so I looked up the hotel on trip advisor. I was a little put off by the negative reviews, but since I had already paid, I thought I would see for myself. My opinion is that this hotel is mainly geared towards business travelers who... more
