If you enjoy grand, historic lodging, this is your best choice in Tucson. A quirky experience suroounded by a staff that trully cares. So nice to roll out of bed and start the day with a wonderful breakfast at the Cup Cafe and not a breakfast bar. more

I chose Hotel Congress to get away from my stressful life in Phoenix, and wasn't disappointed. I booked online through the hotel's website and requested a quiet room, which I received without a problem. I stayed in room 220 on a Thursday night and had absolutely no issues with the noise from Club Congress downstairs. There was a bit of... more

Overall, I enjoyed the Hotel Congress in spite of my friend's fear that the place was haunted. To be sure, it is old and if that gives you the creeps, then you might want to look elsewhere. Personally, I found it charming and very clean. The bathroom sink and tub are worn, but very clean. The front desk warns summer... more

Location, location, location. The hotel is located in old Tucson near the train depot and built in 1919, retains all the nostalgia and charm of its past. My impression was positive and while the train did pass several times during the night, it only added to the adventure/wild west experience I hoped to find in Old Tucson. The hotel, while... more

My friend and I took a spur-of-the-moment road trip, and we wanted to find a place to stay that was in the heart of all the fun. We found it at the Hotel Congress. Not only was the place lively and charming, the restaurant offered plenty of vegetarian dishes at reasonable prices (and surprising large portions). The room in which... more

I love Hotel Congress. The bar and club downstairs are one of my favorite places, The Cup is a great restaurant for any meal, and you can't beat the downtown location next to everything you could want or need. The hotel is very charming and welcoming. That being said, if you plan on staying at Hotel Congress, be sure to... more

If the following aspects are essential for your positive hotel experience, you're going to love this "historic" spot in downtown Tucson. 1) Let's begin with the most visceral feature: Loud karaoke music shaking your room until 2am. Although the management has you sign a waiver saying that you were aware of this fact ahead of time, we were told we'd... more

Mr. Biel, Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our property. I would like to respond to a few of the points that you made. I'm surprised that you were able to hear the music from our nightclub as your room was on the complete opposite side of the Hotel from our Club. We try very...

As other reviewers remark, this is no ordinary hotel and requires a love of the old. The light fixture over the sink was like the one my grandma had in her house that I hadn't seen in years: I was ver clempted. The shower does not put out a lot of water (a southwestern U.S. thing I think) and requires... more

It's a beautiful hotel. The room I was in was lovely, and the noise from the club minimal. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful (though sweetly almost all were rather tragically "hip") - But one tried to charge me entrance into the club. When I pointed out I was staying in the hotel and I didn't have... more

This is a fun hotel w/ a lot of character. Rooms are clean and the period detail is lovely. Check the website--they are very clear about what you will get and won't get -- pictures of rooms and all. I did my research and got a quiet room -- slept like a baby. I was one person so maybe the... more
