We had our first stay at the Royal Elizabeth in Tucson. Lucky us; it was coincidentally over the opener to the world's largest Gem show! Eric and BJ made our stay perfect. Great recommendations for local dining, wonderful people to meet at the B & B. Our room was lovely, spacious and QUIET. Those thick adobe walls are fabulous. We... More

Our room was wonderful, larger than most Vancouver condos! We loved our fireplace which helped take the chill off in the evenings. Eric makes fantastic breakfasts every morning and was very accommodating to our dietary needs. Spectacular wood work in the main area. All in all a beautiful, quite, comfortable place where we we're made to feel right at home... More

Great location, wonderful house and rooms, a very cool breakfast and Eric and BJ were helpful, gracious hosts. If you want to be in urban Tucson, which is pretty interesting, stay here. More

My husband & I stayed at the Royal Elizabeth for two nights in October and had the most wonderful time- our only regret is not staying longer. It was absolutely charming in every way! Eric and BJ (and their adorable daughter) are the proprietors of the Royal Elizabeth and have created the ultimate in B&B's. The historic home is magnificent... More

The Royal Elizabeth is an extraordinary B&B that will transport you back to the highest standards of an earlier Tucson. The central core of this single story house is divided into three areas -- foyer, sitting room, dining room -- by exquisite handcrafted wooden columns and arches that tower above the 17 foot high ceiling. The guest rooms, each different,... More

Having decided to stay 2 nights in Tucson I wanted somewhere personal and comfortable but this place way exceeded my expectations. Aside from the beautiful comfortable room and great feel of the place, Eric produced delicious breakfasts and was a wealth of information on the town and surrounds even guiding me to a wonderful restaurant for dinner. If you want... More

I reluctantly scheduled myself into a B&B, versus hotel, because I had to attend a two day retreat in Tucson. A hotel owner myself, I don't like feeling the "pressure" of meeting for a morning meal because I sleep late. However, this time, I was beyond pleasantly surprised! The food was a foodie's dream! But let's get to the property:... More

We stayed here over a weekend. The room was beautiful, only I'm not sure how I'd feel if we'd stayed in the smallest room for the same price. The B&B is beautifully kept, and we had a lovely time. The only problem we ran into was late one afternoon, my blood sugar dropped and I really needed something to snack... More

This is a long overdue review for our stay in March of 2011, which was our third time staying at the Royal Elizabeth. We were a little concerned to learn that The Liz had changed owners but, as it turned out, our worries were for nothing; Eric and BJ were just as helpful, friendly and accommodating as the former owners... Our trip's itinerary had us moving from The Royal Elizabeth to one of the fancier resorts on the outskirts of Tucson. At the resort we found ourselves missing the refreshingly understated and impeccable food and service of The Liz. At this B&B we had absolutely everything we needed - from the basics (hot water, a pool, comfortable beds and the... More
