Back in the 1990's, I had stayed at a couple of other B&Bs in Tucson, but after staying with Rosemary and David Brown, I decided that there's no other that can compete. Since I go there the same month every year, I often see the same folks at the breakfast table. Many return year after year and stay in the... more

The Hacienda was everything the website promised and more! The room was comfortable and clean; the innkeepers were cordial and congenial and filled with good information about Tucson and the surrounding areas. We enjoyed the birds--especially the gambel quali but most of all seeing the javelinas along with a baby javelina! A relaxing and delightful week. more

David and Rosemary Brown have designed a lovely and very inviting Bed and Breakfast near the Saguaro National Forest. The property is large and has a very nice, wandering trail with plants that have been labeled for ease of recognition. The park like setting is very relaxing. There are several areas in and around the Hacienda for guests to unwind.... more

A lovely B & B on the outskirts of Tucson, AZ. The property has four rooms - three in the main house and a separate casita. Each is well decorated and has a kitchen space. The casita has a private hot tub. Breakfast was wonderful - fresh fruit (some grown on the property), homemade bread or muffins and lots of... more

This is a wonderful place. Very peaceful and quiet, with great hosts. The desert setting is fantastic and we saw lots of wildlife. The springtime is particularly nice. more

We stayed in the casita for 4 nights. This was one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in. The room was large and comfortable. We loved having a hot tub with a lovely cactus garden and view of the mountains. The breakfasts were good. They don't serve the typical bacon and eggs kind of breakfast. There was always a... more

Nestled in the middle of the desert with mountains surrounding this beautiful oasis is the wonderful B & B called the Hacienda del Desierto. Rosemary and David Brown and their helper Shanna provide all the comforts of home with a perfectly warm and friendly atmosphere. The breakfasts, which consist of homemade baked good, granola, and fruit with yogurt or baked... more

We stayed here 3 nights in January. The host David is truly charming, has lived on this property for 30 years, will tell you what to do and where to go, and will personally make you a breakfast fruit treat that is different and wonderful every day. Examples: grilled grapefruit fresh from a tree you can visit in his yard,... more

We spent three nights at the Hacienda. Our stay was remarkably pleasant. After a healthy and satisfying breakfast, we often saw a herd of curious Javalenas, multitudes of birds, a jackrabbit and beautiful desert plants. The five lucky housecats all curled up in their next-door penthouse made evenings all the cozier for us. Our hosts Rosemary, Shanna and David were... more
