We were delighted with our accommodations in the separate Casita. Everything was so comfortable with patios on two sides so you can change your views or orientation to the sun. Even with temperatures in the upper 90's, the a/c worked fine. We used this as a base for birding the Tucson area and it's central to many hotspots. And then... More

You will be pleased you chose the Hacienda, as we were. Rosemary has thought of everything, including the inviting sitting areas (outside and in), fabulous bed, rustic luxury, desert trail thru the property, abundant bird and other wildlife. A family of javelinas (google it) came a-calling one morning to the patio of our room. We were entranced. Saguaro National Park... More

This our second stay at the Hacienda del Desierto. During this visit, we are staying in the Patio "Room," which is very spacious. Not only is there a sleeping room, but there is also an adjoining living room, kitchenette (with sink, microwave, refrigerator and stovetop) and bathroom. The adjoining rooms can be closed off from the sleeping room, allowing me... More

This was by far the best bed and breakfast that we have ever stayed in. The hosts thought of everything. The room was comfortable and well equipped with a kitchenette, books, coffee and tea, and even delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in. The patio outside our room was beautiful with views of the mountains. We saw incredible... More

Dave and Rosemary have a great place! This was their family home they built decades ago. You immediately feel very welcome as soon as you step through the front gate into the front courtyard. The main house décor is fabulous. We stayed in the La Rosa room for 2 days and had a fantastic time there. The hacienda is situated... More

This wonderfully peaceful place provides good access to activities on the east side of Tuscon, particularly to Saguaro National Park East. The hosts David and Rosemary were gracious and helpful in providing suggestions about things to do, places to eat, and optimal ways to get to them -- yet give guests plenty of space to plan and do what they... This is a beautiful place to stay, nestled in the desert near the Saguaro National Park East. Our room was very large and comfortable with nice chairs for reading or watching TV. It also had a kitchenette. The kingsize bed was comfortable with good pillows! The whole Inn is beautifully decorated in perfect fitting with the local environment. Breakfasts are... More

We chose hacienda del desierto because it seemed to be a balance of secluded desert peace with easy access to great nature activities, places to eat, the Pima Air and Space Museum, and the mountains around Tucson. We didn't realuze how great the inn property itself would be for desert views and sunsets. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating... More

We stayed for two nights,we wished we had booked longer. As our first visit in the area, we were well looked after from both Rosemary and David, who had many suggestions of what to see and do around the area. The breakfasts were delightful and the rooms surprizingly large and very comfortable. The grounds are amazing, from the frontyard to... More

We stayed at th Hacienda for a long weekend in the Arizona 'winter', and it was a wonderful experience. The B&B itself is stunning, both in the Sonoran desert backdrop, and in the beautiful architecture - so if you're not from the Southwest, it's a real experience to stay here. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I was stunned... More
