Desert Trails is in a fantastic location. John's breakfasts were spectacular. The desert scenery is marvellous and it's a short hike to Saguaro Park East. This was the first B&B we had stayed in in the States and it was a great experience.

Desert Trails has a wonderful location, with the Sonoran Desert in the front yard, and the Tanque Verde riparian corridor in the back yard. Literally! The setting is idyllic, relaxing and beautiful. The proprietors John and Steffi are hospitality personified. They are around as much or as little as you like, and are wealth of fascinating information about the desert,... More

This bed and breakfast exceeded my expectations. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The Mica room, in which I stayed, had a lovely fireplace and sitting area and opened onto the patio area leading to the pool. The inn is enough outside of Tucson to be quiet and relaxing, but close enough for easy access to... More

We chose the Desert Trail B&B because of it's location. We wanted to hike and explore the National Park. A beautiful home in a wonderful location was clean and very comfortable. The hosts were very informative and helpful. Would definately recommend. As other mentioned - it is a 15 minute drive to town for dinner. No problems with pillows, extra... More

This was our first time staying in a B & B. The main house is very nice. The hosts, John and Steffi were always helpful if we needed directions or places to eat. Breakfast was very good and well rounded. We stayed 2 nights . We stayed in the MIca room. Bed was very comfortable but they need to have... More

John Higgins is a mine of information about things to do in the Tucson area. We just returned form our second stay there and intend to go back again. The room (same one both times) was comfortable and the breakfasts fabulous. Even before you set out in the morning you are surrounded by a beautiful view and a back yard... More

My daughter and I just returned from Tucson, Arizona where we stayed six nights at Desert Trails Bed and Breakfast. What a lovely relaxing stay we had!! The room and bathroom were very comfortable, spacious and clean. The breakfasts were prepared by John, one of the owners and I kept asking him if he was sure he had not been... More

My wife and I came to Tucson for New Years weekend to escape the cold of our current home city, Santa Fe, NM. We love to hike, climb, bike and run, and we were looking for a B&B right near the trails that would offer a clean, comfortable room, hosts that could give us some advice about the trails and... We just returned from Tucson and 2 days at the Desert Trails. It was fantastic. Lovely rooms, great breakfasts (unbelievable pancakes!), and great hosts. We sat in the back yard amid beautiful trees and desert scenery and watched the sun go down, we hiked the trails of the Saguaro National Park (literally just across the road), and enjoyed the cozy... We stayed at Desert Trails B&B for three nights the end of October 2012. It was the most wonderful, relaxing experience. Our room and bathroom were spacious and very clean and well-presented. We sat out by the pool and read and relaxed and watched the hummingbirds. John and Steffi were gracious hosts. We felt right at home. John helped us... More
