I just returned from a two night stay at the Desert Diamond and I was quite disappointed. Although the staff was nice and the hotel looked nice, all was lost from the smell of cigarette smoke and the cold water in the shower. My room was on the third floor and even there, I could still smell the smoke. I... More

Even though the hotel is next to the airport, we had no problems with noise. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed is very comfortable. Not much of a view from the windows - the room overlooked a trailer park. The hotel is connected to the casino, but no smoke smell was noted and the hotel staff... More

Very convenient to the airport. Good rate for the large size room and bathroom. I liked having a door separating the toilet from the tub and sink. Breakfast was underwhelming (donuts, frozen waffles, boiled eggs, cold cereal, yogurt, but free with our room rate and allowed us to get something in our belly before we went searching for "real food".... The hotel is clean and fairly quiet. Large, spacious rooms. Very comfortable. Junior staff is friendly. Cons: Parking lot sweeping in the middle of the night kept me awake. Casino is filthy with cigarette smoke. Not sure why the smoking is allowed by city or state officials. You wouldn't believe it until you saw how polluted the air is. Forget... More

We stayed 3 nights here and it is a great place to stay. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are large and the Steak House is fantastic. We also really liked the special lobby of the casino that provided excellent information and displays about the Tohono O'Odham tribe that owns the hotel and casino. More

Desert DIamond is the older of the 2 Tucson Casino Hotels, and it's showing it's age. The hotel is nice, comfortable, and with the players club membership, FREE. We've stayed here about 7 times on the free, which helps make a 2 hour drive worthwhile. Monsoon Night club for dancing, (Haven't been), a Steak House (Never been), The buffet is... More

Spent 1 night here while traveling AZ, appears to be a fairly new property. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient, no issues with room either. Room was very large (a premium king with balcony). Separate shower and tub, view of desert from the tub, kinda unique. Small but very nice pool facility. Free wifi, comfortable bedding, flat screen, clean room.... More

Stayed for the weekend, and made reservations through their website. They have some good deals if you sign up for their casino card, which takes 5 minutes. Had a really nice kng room on the 4th floor. We've learned to stay on upper floors in any casino because there is always someone walking around regardless of the time. If you... More

We live in Tucson and occasionally stay at the local resorts and hotels. We stayed in an Executive Suite and we were not disappointed. It was beautiful, spacious and well designed. The jacuzzi was one of the largest I've seen. The water temperature was just right. The rooms are removed from the main casino so there was no noise to... More

I'm a local so I REALLY have NO excuse, just don't make the same mistake I did. We wanted to stay overnight after Ron White's performance recently and booked the hotel thinking it was at the same site as the Theatre venue... not so, it's 8 miles away at the OTHER Desert Diamond Casino. Thankfully they provided a shuttle, but... More
