We were down for the day for my daughters orientation. Sue is a wonderful host and her place is very nice. She knows the area very well. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay at her place again. more

Susan, the owner, is a joy to get to know. She prepars wonderful breakfasts, provides lots of local information and goes the extra mile to provide for her guest's needs. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated in very good taste. We will most certainly visit Sam Hughes again. more

My daughter and I traveled to Tucson for her orientation at the Univ. of Az. We got a taxi from the airport to the inn because we knew we'd be on campus most of our stay. The inn was about a mile from the campus. I loved the walking but my daughter wanted to take a taxi most of the... more

The room was comfortable and relaxing. It really felt like home. The Inn is close to everything with out being right in the middle of the city. Susan made a wonderful breakfast every morning and went out of her way to make our stay a spectacular one. We will return and we recommend it to anyone travelling to the Tucson... more

We felt welcomed and comfortable from the minute we walked in the door. Our room was clean, comfortable, creatively decorated and held all the amenities needed for a "get away from it all" vacation. And true to the Inn's brochure, the breakfasts are Amazing. We hated to leave and can't wait to make a return trip. The Sam Hughes Inn,... more

We were only here for 2 nights, but had a great stay. Excellent location, hospitality, atmosphere, and food. Close to all the things we wanted to do in Tucson, but you better have a car if going in the heat of the summer. We would definitely stay here again. more

I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Tucson. The owner is gracious, flexible and a great cook. The breakfast is inspired and is so hearty that it lasts all day. All the rooms and the enclosed garden are inviting places to sit and relax. more

This is one of the best B&B's my wife and I have stayed in. The room, albeit small, was very serviceable; the garden serene with water falling and birdsong galore; the hostess--unobtrusive but very friendly, helpful and smart; the location primo--near Uof A; and the breakfasts delicious, creative and due to the wonderful conversations, hard to leave. Highly recommended! bob... more

The owner of this bed and breakfast, Susan, went out of her way from before I arrived to after I left-she is remarkably connected to guests, their needs and interests. Practically, the house is conveniently located near University of Arizona as well as a quiet neighborhood with stores within walking distance. For the house itself, the rooms are cozy and... more
