My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at the Sam Hughes Inn. We had a wonderful time...Susan was very attentive to all the details. She was also very accomodating for our schedules. One morning we wanted to be out early, so she arranged for a breakfast at 7am. My husband and I also follow a (mostly) vegan diet, and... More

Susan Banner's inn is wonderful. I found it on the internet, so didn't know what I'd find when I arrived. From the minute I stepped out of my car to the moment I said good bye, I knew that I had found the right place for my husband and me. The front of her house is unassuming. There is off... More

We had a lovely room looking out in the the peaceful courtyard. We were there for three night and only had one breakfast. While our one breakfast was delicious, if you are an early riser hoping to get to go to the Desert Museum before the heat and crowds, you might want to ask for a "to go" breakfast. Breakfast... More

I stayed at Sam Hughes for 4 nights this past late April. Was in the Tombstone room, which is it's own cottage in back of house. Quiet and charming. Love the cowboy décor. And the owner Susan, is so nice and accommodating. Forgot my charger -- she had one. Needed a bigger cup for morning coffee -- she gave me... More

Sam Hughes Inn was full of history and character; a perfect place to enjoy a vacation in the Tucson area. It offered us a quiet retreat after a long day of hiking in Saguaro National Park, Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemmon and exploring the wonderful city of Tucson. Susan's breakfasts were divine, her company, wonderful. The courtyard is an amazing oasis... More

Susan has done a marvelous job decorating inside and out. She has a real eye for it. The B & B is located in a very quiet neighborhood, and is of course extremely convenient to University events. The garden is perfect for evening cocktails and a good book! Both Susan and her little pup Lucy are wonderful hostesses.

This was my first time staying at a B&B. I was attending some UW Softball games at UA and my usual Hotel was being remodeled. I found the Sam Hughes Inn on Google since it was close to campus. The experience was great and Susan was a very nice host. The garden courtyard is a wonderful place to sit under... More

We had a delightful stay at the Sam Hughes Inn for four nights in March. The room was very attractive, clean, and comfortable. We loved sitting in the peaceful courtyard. The whole house is charming. Breakfast was delicious and substantial. And most of all the innkeeper, Susan, made us feel so welcomed. Everything we needed was provided with a smile.... More

Located so close to the University of Arizona and a lovely, old home. So warmly welcomed by Susan and her precious little girl, Lucy. Very clean, very accommodating. I am an early riser and Susan adjusted the living room lights to come on earlier. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and beautifully presented. The courtyard is so attractive and peaceful. We...
