The Sam Hughes neighborhood is charming and perfectly located. The breakfast at this place is unmatched. Hot meal and different everyday! The other guests were delightful and we spent over an hour at the breakfast with no one in a hurry. We would definitely visit this B&B again.

The innkeeper, Susan Banner, is a very nice lady. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The breakfast is excellent. I also enjoyed the company of others staying at the inn during the breakfast time. The inn is very close to University of Arizona campus which was were I was working for a collaborative project during my stay at Tucson.... More

We loved our beautiful room and the rest the rest of the house. We were in town for a wedding and Sam Hughes was a relaxing oasis in the midst of a very hectic weekend. Susan's breakfasts were absolutely tremendous. We would definitely stay here again!

Donna and I loved the Sam Hughes Inn for our week in Tucson. Susan, the Innkeeper gave us great tips and coupons for local sights, and prepared an incredible breakfast each morning. Her cute little dog Lucy was always well behaved and by Susan's side. Our room, The Tombstone Room, had a separate entrance overlooking a peaceful desert garden fountain.... More

This B&B in the heart of Tucson is near the U of AZ but on a very quiet street. Susan Banner's home is your home, complete with a wonderful reading library in case you didn't bring a book. But her breakfast is to die for: eggs, bacon, coffee cake and fresh fruit on day 1; quiche, rolls, fresh fruit on... More

This was like visiting a friendly family. The inn was decorated throughout very artistically. The host is a superb cook, ready to meet guests' varied needs, and the breakfasts were varied and delicious.

We recently spent three nights at the Sam Hughes Inn, and we'd go back in a heartbeat. Susan is a charming hostess, and she exhibits a great deal of concern for her guests' wellbeing. We had to be out of our room one morning by 8 AM because the city was doing sewer repair work on her block, and she... More

I stayed at the Sam Hughes Bed and Breakfast Inn because price was right and it was walking distance to University of Arizona. Owner Lady was very responsible, she emailed me a day in advance to check what time I'll be arriving and my dietary restrictions for breakfast. I arrived late night and she planned everything for my arrival, got... More

We had such a wonderful time at Sam Hughes Inn. Susan was so welcoming from the moment we got there. Her breakfasts were amazing, the decor so cozy and looking out at the courtyard with all the flowers abloom was so inviting. The B&B is just around the corner from the U. of AZ. easy to walk to as well... More

We returned to Tucson to revisit our memories of living in the desert in the early 80's. Staying at the Sam Hughes Inn was a perfect location with wonderful ambience. Our fellow travelers were delightful and every breakfast was elegant and delicious. We were there for 9 breakfasts; each was unique. My favorite was a spinach quiche that was to... More
