We have stayed here several times while visiting our daughter at U of A and the location couldnt be better. Susan makes you feel very welcome, and cooks up a wonderful spread for breakfast every day. Walk down the block and you are on campus. Rooms are generous and private. Thanks Susan and little Lucy!!! more

The Sam Hughes Inn is a Tucson treasure. Tucked in a quaint and historic neighborhood very close to the University of Arizona campus, many charms await the quest including beautiful art, a lovely private garden with fountain, fabulous breakfasts, and a most charming and knowledgeable hostess. In addition, online access is provided. more

We stayed two nights in mid-september at this wonderful place. Our hostess Susan made us feel like family from the first moment we arrived. The room was comfortable - as well as her garden - , breakfast very delicious and her nice puppy enjoyed us all. She had several suggestions (in a gentile way) to make our stay in Tucson... more

We stayed 4 nights - the room was very comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent, and Susan is charming, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The rooms and the courtyard are beautiful - the pictures don't lie. This was like an oasis in the heat of Tucson. Susan made good recommendations and suggestions when asked and went above and beyond to make us... more

We were happy to have a very convenient place to stay within just a couple of minutes from campus. The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The... more

My daughter and I traveled to Tucson for her orientation at the Univ. of Az. We got a taxi from the airport to the inn because we knew we'd be on campus most of our stay. The inn was about a mile from the campus. I loved the walking but my daughter wanted to take a taxi most of the... more
