We stayed at the Azure Gate for 2 nights and felt we had arrived in paradise. Christine and Dennis put their hearts into running their B/B and it shows. We stayed in the large Catalina guest house on their 5 acres of beautiful land, most of which is stunning desert garden with hummingbirds and lizards. There is a balcony from... More

This is our fourth visit to Azure Gate B&B...that has to tell you something. Such a lovely place. Wonderful, warm, friendly proprietors! Lovely grounds. Peaceful, which makes it so, so relaxing. This morning we had the BEST breakfast EVER! Eggs Benedict w/glazed salmon...oh my, words cannot begin to tell you how yummy that was. Already excited and salivating with anticipation... More

If you like quails, doves, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, you will love the desert atmosphere at The Azure Gate. Although we love the decor of the house and guest houses, what really made us return was the warmth and friendliness of the hosts. We will return again just for the artistry of the breakfasts! We really enjoyed all of the desert decorations so beautifully scattered... More

This was our 3rd stay at the Azure Gate. We will always stay at Azure Gate when we are in Tucson. Dennis and Christine are the most wonderful hosts you can imagine. We are already booked for our 4th and 5th stay. Dennis is a superb chef. His breakfast creations are a delight. We only eat breakfast and one other... More

Amazing place. Dennis and Christine have created a wonder in the desert and it should be your go-to place if you are staying in Tucson. Wonderfully appointed, quiet location, fantastic full breakfast concocted by Dennis every morning. I stayed in the Catalina House which has a lovely downstairs sitting room, desk, half-kitchen and full bath. The bed is upstairs in... More

We returned in May for our second visit to the Azure Gate. It is a lovely oasis. We very much enjoyed seeing Christine and Dennis again. The location is far enough off the East Catalina Highway to be private and quiet, yet convenient for driving to any part of town. We stayed in the Santa Ana guest house. It has... More

We stayed at the Azure Gate B&B for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Dennis and Christine were very welcoming. Great conversation while Dennis prepared breakfast which were absolutely wonderful. They were very helpful when we were planning our days. Their home was lovely and very well kept. The location is very convenient to restaurants and many landmarks. We... More

And oh, what a beautiful day you will spend at Azure Gate. My hubby and I had reservations at another beautiful B&B in Tucson, but due to chemical sensitivities we couldn't stay there, and hustled to find another comparable inn. Our luck, Azure Inn happened to have the Catalina Guest House available for the three nights we needed. The guest... More

Dennis and Christine couldn't have been nicer. The place was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We were celebrating my husband's 70th birthday and they even baked a cake! They had a lot of snacks for us as well as wine. We loved the artwork and Dennis's photographs. I bought 2 books written by Christine for my grandchildren. What a delight... More

The Azure Gate is the best B&B we've ever stayed at - and we've travelled all over the world. Evocative, peaceful, tranquil, Dennis and Christine have created and conjured the perfect five-acre retreat on the edge of the Sonoran Desert. We stayed in the delightful Santa Ana guesthouse. Beautifully styled and decorated, it had everything we could possibly want -... More
