Lazy 8 isnt new or big, but everything works and is clean. Its conveniently located right off the highway,& next to a popular steakhouse. Cons: tiny tube tv (a bigger tube tv would be fine, TV attached to ceiling so hard 2 see it,no shampoo provided! Front desk man not very nice ( Civil, but arrogant) Pros: Cheap, clean, next... More

Let me start by describing what I need in a motel: I like to keep it basic and simple. I avoid the four-star palaces, by choice, not by necessity. I travel alone, and a good bed & shower are all I need. The Lazy 8 is one of the least expensive motels in Tucson. It's clean, has free Wi Fi,... More

we spent a long weekend hear, if you have high standards don't stay, if you want a quiet, clean place for a base camp, then this is it, great freeway acces, right on the I-10, only short ride to the Pima air and space Museum, Colossal Caves, and right around the corrner from the VA,, the room was clean (not... Filthy rooms, trashed beds, ancient matresses, dingy linens, and a completely inadequate air-conditioning system that has never been updated since the 50s when they were installed, no working phone at front desk, no return calls about a left item. The Silver Saddle Steak House next door however is absolutely great.

I was surprises when we arrived. The pictures on the internet must have taken many years ago. The front desk was dirty and cluttered and the bathroom had mold. The pool had no water, Trashy looking, we were placed at the back end of the hotel and at 3am we were awakened by the sound of the police and drug... More

This motel is actually right on the on ramp for the I-10 so lets face it, there is going to be some road noise. I never found it overly intrusive. It did mean that the motel was actually a bit hard to find: I came down Park from Tucson, which intersects with Benson but the Interstate gets in the way.... More

We were in Tucson on business for one week. My fiance had stayed here previously however the owners were new. We were given only two towels...had no hot water...our tv did not work and we did not have a blanket. They have an AAA sign up there is NO way this is current.

I stayed for 5 days here during the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. I needed a kitchenette due to food allergies. I absolutely loved the room, it was more of an apartment. It even had a dining room with a table for 6. The carpet was a little old and dirty, the kitchen had new tile and was spotless and... More

We stayed at the Lazy8 motel in Tucson for 4 nights in May 2009 to kick off a Southwest USA sightseeing tour. We live in Germany and planned the trip ahead of time on the internet and found this motel on Google. One on of the main criteria for us was to get a budget motel that's clean and has... More

I have stayed at the Lazy 8 at least once a year for many years. In the past I would have always agreed with their slogan, Tucson’s Cleanest Budget Motel. However, I now find slogan to be somewhat less that completely accurate. The grounds are littered with paper debris and cigarette butts, the paint was peeling in the bathroom, the... More
