Everything seems brand new. It's not a new hotel, but the owner just really keeps up with refurbishing. Convenient to 4th Ave, U of A and downtown. Extremely comfortable beds. Good breakfast selection, much better than the usual bad coffee and stale doughnuts. Very friendly and helpful staff. Even has an unadvertised coin-op washer and dryer.

Well located near 4th ave, we stayed here as a stop on our motorcycle trip. Good place to rest your head, but not fancy. My very good rating relates to other $65 per night places we have stayed at, not the $250 per night places! Clean and kept is all I ask for!

I knew it was a great location right near the U of A, but I really didn't know how it was gonna be. It turned out to be very respectable. It was clean, it had a little fridge and microwave along with a nice TV. They serve coffee and danish in the office in the mornings. The staff were helpful... More

This is a nice hotel/motel and I would stay here again. That said, it's not a 4 or a 5. It is a nice play to stay and is convenient to UA. Parking is convenient and right outside your room. Didn't get to use the pool but it looks nice. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Climate control in he... More

The University has a great location (near downtown and the interstate, for easy access to anything in the Tucson area); helpful and welcoming owner (with a great sense of humor, too); friendly and helpful staff (you start every day with a greeting and good feeling); clean rooms where everything works; quick, cheap and easy-to-use washer and dryer; dependable, basic continental... Moving my son into the University of Arizona for the spring semester we had to scramble for a hotel in Tucson. We came across the University Inn in Tucson and were pleasantly surprised. Rooms cheap $49 and clean and close to both the university and Intestate 10. Although there were homeless people in the park across the street they never... More

I have stayed at the University Inn probably half a dozen times over the last few years and, because of some health problems a family member is suffering, I'll continue to stay there on subsequent visits. I have never had a problem staying here. The rate is astonishingly good, and initially I was skeptical -- with such a good price,... More

Easy to find location. We were made to feel very welcome by the gentleman on reception. Our room was upstairs and initially I thought the busy main road near by may be a problem but once in the room we did not hear it. Room was a good size with 2 double beds, air con (bit noisy), fridge, microwave and... More

If it seems to good to be true, it is. I got misled by the price and decent reviews, but I don't know what the people who say it is nice, comfortable, etc. are thinking! The room was tiny and dark. The bathroom looked like it had been worked on but the floor looked dirty. I'm not sure if the... More

The location is what made me stay here: it's very close to downtown. But: It was noisy because there was some sort of athletic event where the contestants woke up at 5:30 AM on a Sunday. The desk manager was not friendly: she refused to give us a AAA discount even though the hotel is endorsed by AAA. Yeah, a... More
