Our second stay in 3 years at El rancho. Once again we had a fabulous 10 night stay. Patty the housekeeper is always so helpful and we both regard her as a friend now.The rooms are all excellent and kept very clean. Would recoomend the Spanish Colonial room for the views of the wildlife in the rear garden. Would love... More

My wife and I have stayed in numerous properties across the country. We have stayed in other B&B's in the Tucson area which are allegedly "higher ranked" than the Inns at El Rancho Merlita. There is no reason why this one is not at the top of the list. Some have "complained" that the property is hard to locate but... More

Thank you for these thoughtful and most thorough observations! I especially appreciate this reviewer's grasp of the challenges that innkeepers can face and the manner in which they have responded to the occasions that a few previous reviewers have shared complaints. TripAdvisor is a great tool for travelers AND for innkeepers. Candid reviews not only promote our properties, they also... More

This is our second trip to Rancho Merlita and it's gotten better if anything. Beautiful grounds very well maintained, lots of wildlife to watch as you have a cup of coffee on the porch or a drink in the evening. The rooms are nicely decorated and the bathrooms have the original tile but all the amenities of today. So much... More

My husband & I recently spent three nights at Rancho Merlita. This bed & breakfast was above & beyond our expectations. The setting is quiet desert solitude mixed with the amenities of a pool and jacuzzi. Our room was imaculate, tastefully decorated with furniture and bedding that was magnificent. The breakfasts that were prepared by our hostess Patti were delicious.... More

The best B&B we've ever stayed at! Everything about our visit was delightful . . . the Inn itself is a beautiful restoration with grounds that rival a nature preserve. Our room was nicely done with such attention to detail. Pattie is a terrific innkeeper - and former caterer- and provided a different breakfast (and afternoon treats!) every day. She... More

Our stay at El Rancho Merlita was wonderful! Pattie, the innkeeper, is a delight. She is so warm and caring and made us feel comfortable immediately. She asks about your interests and provides you with information to help you get the most out of your sight-seeing excursions. The breakfasts Pattie serves are the best! And if we wanted to head... I had visited the Inns last February and fell in love with this place. So, when I was looking for a relaxing long weekend this spring, I decided to return. What a great decision! The second trip was just as lovely as the first, and I'm already thinking about my next trip. That is saying A LOT from someone who... More

My husband and I came down to Tucson for spring break. My daughter spent time with her grandparents while my husband and I took some time to ourselves. I found El Rancho Merlita on bedandbreakfast.com and we were so delighted. This place is heaven. Beautiful and wonderfully historic. Pattie, the innkeeper, was awesome. She made us feel so comfortable and... More

My husband and I decided to visit Tucson for a warm and relaxing vacation. We spent the week in sheer bliss. I came upon the The Inns at El Rancho Merlita via Trip Advisor. We were in shock and awe the minute we drove up and saw the beautiful gates open. The grounds were stunning. Pattie greeted us with such... More

Fell in love with El Rancho Merlita even more on this visit. The grounds are stunning, the interior décor beautiful and it is such a relaxing sanctuary. We hardly even left the property during our weekend get-away. Patty made fabulous breakfasts and was a pleasure to talk with each morning. I loved learning about the history of the Ranch House...
