What a beautiful, peaceful, and luxurious discovery! We loved relaxing on the veranda with our books, swimming in the pool, bird and bunny watching, and walking the lovely grounds. We had our teen daughter with us, so we stayed in the Merle Norman Suite, which was perfect, and plenty big for the three of us. We were pleased to discover... More

It usually takes me several weeks to review places we've stayed, but this place is just too wonderful to wait. This is easily the prettiest B and B we've stayed at. The "Mi Nidito" room is large, beautifully appointed, and so comfortable. The innkeeper is friendly and helpful. Don't miss the breakfasts - so generous and delicious, with many options... More

My wife and I visited for a getaway from Phoenix. We have stayed at several B&B's around the world and Rancho Merlita is at the top. Top quality rooms with fixtures and amenities not found in most B&B's, loads of outdoor space, enormous Movie library, relaxing pool and Patty (the inn keeper) is wonderful. Can't wait to come back!

This secluded, stylish B&B will make you feel like an A-lister. Innkeeper Patty and her staff ensure that your stay is the absolute best it can possibly be. Previously owned by cosmetics icon Merle Norman, the ranch house and guesthouse have been converted to a B&B that doesn’t disappoint. The grounds, complete with walking trails, are impeccably manicured and maintained.... More

Lovely gardens, luxurious rooms, great views of the mountains, delicious breakfast and a smidgen of history! Our party stayed in the Arroyo House, and loved both our rooms, Mi Nidito and Arroyo Bonito. Exceptional beds and linens, comfortable chairs for reading, lovely bathrooms, and delightful bath products. Interesting reading about the history of the house and Merle Norman. We particularly... We shall always remember El Rancho M. for its gorgeous gardens/yard, its unusual plants, wonderful bird-watching and rabbits galore. We regret not seeing a havalina! Breakfasts were wonderful and the coffee superb, having been ground locally. What an acreage of heaven!

This beautiful old ranch converted to a well appointed B&B on spacious grounds containing a wide variety of desert plants. There is a pool and hot tub that helped a sore back. Pattie Bell the inn keeper is knowledgable about the area the ranch and its plants. She prepares wonderful communal breakfasts or will pack one for you if your... More

Many thanks for another thoughtful review! Just as a matter of clarification, the city of Tucson is in SOUTHERN Arizona and we are located on the NORTH EAST side of town. Our rates do not vary from weeknights to weekends, but we do have very nicely discounted rates during the off-season Summer months. More

We had a great stay here recently. The grounds are wonderful: well kept, tons of beautiful cactus, & lots of good bird watching on the local nature trail. The rooms were a bit dark but overall quite lovely & very comfy. Pool & jacuzzi were clean/relaxing. Breakfasts were killer good & access to hiking was super quick/easy. Inn keeper was... More

Many thanks to these guests for their enthusiastic endorsement! Our guest rooms vary in the amount of natural light they receive. If you like a brighter room choose Spanish Colonial, Arizona Territory, or our Merle Norman Suite in the main Ranch House. Arroyo Bonito has more light than the other rooms in the Arroyo House. And our porches, patios, pool... More

This is heaven on Earth! My blood pressure dropped immediately after driving through the gate. Beautiful property, gorgeous attention to furnishings and décor, pampering but not intrusive service, delicious food, and thoughtful and welcoming innkeepers. No detail is overlooked. Lots of relaxing spots to relax on this meticulously maintained property. Peaceful and inspiring mountain views surround this inn. Fascinating history... More

My wife & I were looking for a quiet B&B in the Tucson area for a 2-night midweek stay, and we chose the Ranch House Inn at El Rancho Merlita based on the quality of Tripadvisor reviews & the Inn's informative website. We weren't disappointed, and definitely will return if we have the opportunity. We stayed in the Ariz. Territory... More
