rancho merlita is one of the best B&Bs I've stayed in. The room and bathroom were spacious and immaculate. The ranch house was gorgeous with spectacular views of the mountains. The expansive grounds were very well kept. The breakfasts, which were different every day (we stayed 6 days), were delicious and graciously prepared and served. Our room was very quiet... More

Thanks to this and all our many appreciative reviewers. Your feedback is essential! It is always a challenge to develop historic properties with existing electrical wiring. We are very diligent about keeping 3-way bulbs in the lamps for good reading light. We are adding a floor lamp, which I believe will help. And I am on my way to that... More

Rancho Merlita was just perfect for our four-night stay in Tucson. Our room, Black Mountain, was large and comfortable, with a lovely 1950s bathroom (think pink, burgundy, and black) that took us back to quieter times. The breakfasts were delicious, the snacks were yummy, and Janice was a wealth of information about sights and restaurants. Though the property is not... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in the Arroyo Bonita room. It was beyond fantastic and we can't wait to go back. The room was gorgeous and comfortable and we especially loved the large tub. Special shout out to Tina our housekeeper who did a wonderful job. We loved coming back after a day out to our room and the... More

Once again everything was PERFECT! We even had guest from Tucson who were in awe of such a fantastic place, with so much to offer, being so reasonably priced. These were people who travel all over the world, yet they were astounded by the perfection of this site in their own town. Pattie is one amazing woman who has managed... More

It's all in the details! This bed and breakfast was perfect from top to bottom and start to finish. From the beautifully appointed, private rooms to the gourmet breakfasts', and friendly & knowledgeable innkeeper....everything was 5 star quality. Ask me anything about my stay and my reply will be the same "excellent."

We recently stayed here for 2 nights in the Black Mountain room. The room was beautiful, well equipped, everything you could ask for. Extremely clean and well maintained. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless with a large shower cubicle. The room also had an iron, hairdryer, robes and a fridge, which was stocked with two... More

We just returned from an amazing week in Tucson. We decided to stay in one place and use it as a base for touring around Tucson so we wouldn't have to spend time packing up & moving. We are so happy we decided to stay at Rancho Merlita. As mentioned by others the property was owned by Merle Norman &... More

We stayed in 1 of the northern rooms and had a fantastic view of the mountains! I was so impressed with how clean and updated the rooms and bathrooms were! Even the pool looked clean & inviting! Breakfast was light, but fresh fruit & great tea selections.

My husband and I found this Inn on the internet. We were looking for a place near Mt. Lemmon, my husband is a cyclist and wanted to climb the mountain to prepare for a bike ride in France later in the year. The Inn is beautiful, charming, lovely grounds and so so quiet. Our Innkeeper Patti was so welcoming and... More
