Beautiful location for hiking and experiencing the saguaro natl park. Awoke to coyotes this morning. Found a meteorite on a hike up the dry wash. There are more pieces there. Black, very heavy, and magnetic. Great hosts.

We took a chance on the Crickethead Inn for a week-long holiday last February on the basis of internet buzz referring to it as out of the way, rustic and exciting. It exceeded all our expectations. Tranquil desert setting. Endless hikes from your doorstep. Coyotes serenading you under a blanket of stars. Wonderfully comfy sleep. Superb breakfast with great coffee.... More

Arrived at the Crickethead Inn at 11:00 pm, so I did not see anything of the surrounding area. Awoke the next morning and stepped out the back door to the patio to a magnificent scene of the desert! Mike and Wayan are perfect host and make you feel at home. Breakfasts are a panoply of great food cooked by Wayan.... More

We LOVED this place. The location is terrific, the price is VERY good, the breakfasts are wonderful, the place is so well designed; it is just beautiful. Our hosts, Michael and Wayan, were tremendously kind and fun and so very helpful. We stayed there regularly twice a month for nearly a year when we had to travel to Tucson on... More

We just made our second visit to Crickethead Inn. If you're looking for a fancy resort in the center of town, this is not for you. But if you love hiking, wildlife, solitude, sunsets over the saguaros, and terrific hosts, the Crickethead Inn is the place to be. Mike and Wayan are wonderful hosts, sharing their home and patio with... More

My friend and I recently stayed here, not knowing what to expect. Because the price was so reasonable we did not have high hopes. Wow! Were we wrong! I felt we had landed in another country, or perhaps another planet. How to describe it? Maybe elegantly funky? The hosts, Mike and Wayan, could not have been any nicer or more... More

What a treasure and surprise to find a Polynesian-esque retreat in the middle of the Sonoran desert! So much to look at in and around their home. Would have kept us busy for days if we'd had more scheduling freedom to stay. Hosts Michael and Wayan were kind, hospitable, and made excellent food for us for breakfast. I 100% recommend... More

Drive down an easy, meandering dirt road through an artsy gate of windmill parts and arrive for a spectacular desert experience. Crickethead Inn Bed and Breakfast enjoys a unique location in the Sonoran desert adjacent to Saguaro National Monument and near to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. The great advantage is that you truly live in the desert surrounded by... More

I found the Crickethead Inn somewhat randomly on an internet search. I was coming to Tucson for a memorial service for a family member who had recently passed away. I was very pleasantly surprised with the intrigue and peacefulness of this place. It is a short drive from the city. The drive to the Inn through the Saguaro National Park... More

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cricket Head Inn nestled against the border of Saguaro National Park in the Tucson Mountains. In a nutshell, if you are looking for a quaint, remote, getaway with killer breakfasts, warm hosts, lovely rooms, and inviting scenery; this place is for you. Unfortunately during my stay I was working with a... More
