Very unique B&B in the Desert just outside Saguaro National Park. It sets at the end of a "primitive road" and appears to be hand build by the owner. Each room has a porch with a view directly into the cactus desert. The owner is a native Arizonian and he will tell you tales of miners, rattlesnakes, and outer interesting... More

We stayed at Crickethead as a jumping off point for exploring the desert west of Tucson. The host were very friendly, warm and helpful. We felt very welcomed in their home. Rooms were very clean and the breakfast food was wonderful along with the conversations. Very quiet area.

My wife and I first visited the Crickethead B&B about a year ago and loved it. Again this year I needed an escape from our Minnesota winter, but my wife was not able to go because of work. So after a sincere "I'm so sorry you can't come with me dear" and and a kiss goodbye, I headed back to... More

Crickethead Inn was recommended by my family, who live in Tucson, and I am so thankful they saved me from the sterile comfort of an airport hotel (and I am generally quite happy in an airport hotel)! Located adjacent to Saguaro National Park, this inn, hand-built and lovingly decorated by the owners, is one that I could stay at for... More

Completely isolated and just fifteen minutes from the bustle of the city of Tucson sits the Crickethead Inn and Bed and Breakfast. It sits at the end of a dirt and rock road surrounded by the desert and on the border of the Saguaro National Park . While lacking some of the amenities of a downtown hotel at many times... More

We keep coming back to Crickethead Inn. There is magic there, plenty of it. The hosts love the desert and its delightful creatures, and this B&B nestles among the Saguaros and the peace and tranquility with all the respect that appropriate architecture can offer. Every time, we are dazzled by the shy but teeming wildlife that come to drink at... More

If you want to explore Saguaro right from the heart of it and get the best of your stay then choose Crickethead Inn. This is an amazing place, very friendly hosts who know the desert very well. And yes, be prepared to have the best breakfast you ever had during any of your previous trips anywhere! :) All this in... More

B&B's can be all over the map, so to speak. In my opinion, the best ones are in unusual locations, have worthwhile surroundings, and have engaging hosts, all this without breaking the travel budget. I can't express fully how delighted I was to find the Crickethead Inn, west of Tucson, on a recent trip. I probably would not have learned... More

The others reviews have said it all. Quiet desert setting next to Saguaro National Park, wildlife, comfortable room, fabulous unique and varied breakfast. Mike and Wayan share their life and life experiences. Besides the beautiful desert setting, they grow many beautiful potted plants. Wayan is a fabulous cook and the breakfast is a cultural experience in itself, but from many... More

A cool place to stay in the desert is with Mike over at the Crickethead Inn. Mike is married to Wayan who is from Bali so the place is a kind of Indonesian/Western mix, which is pretty unique. A beautiful garden is full of fine cacti which are also for sale, as well as Wayans's herbs and spices which she... More
