If you have a spirit of adventure and a love of the unusual, you're in for a treat. Mike and Wayan have blended Tucson and Indonesia in a charming way in this B&B. Mike built the huge house himself--check out the big beams of quality hardwood--and Wayan, who had a women's art gallery in Bali, apparently brought it to the... More

A three night stay here was a very happy experience to start our tour in Arizona. We loved to sit on the veranda watching the many birds visiting for food put out by Wayan and in the mornings, the limping coyote and a family of javelinas. The veranda looked straight out into desert with saguaros scattered around and many other... More

We so much enjoyed staying at Crickethead Inn. We wanted to stay away from the busy city, but fairly close by. What a gem we found! The grounds are spectacular, the hosts are charming, and we can't wait to go back. It will be our home away from home in Tucson from now on when we go to visit family.... More

For us, the best part was being, literally, in the middle of the desert with an incredible view. Trails led out directly from our room to the boundary with Saguaro National Park. The entrance to the west section of the park is only minutes from the Inn where we took a leisurely drive, hiked and had a picnic lunch. We... More

Mike and Wayan, proprietors of Crickethead Inn, are unassuming, warm-hearted and incredibly humble about their knowledge and love of the Sonoran Desert. Each morning Wayan prepared delicious gluten free meals for me which often included Balinese rice and tapioca starch based delicacies. Our guestroom, a wonderful mix of Indonesian and Southwestern furnishings, was a haven of tranquility just steps from... More

A long bumpy dirt road brings you to this B&B and your first thought may be to turn around. But don't, this is a 'diamond in the rough.' Truly an eclectic feel where Indonesia meets Sonoran desert. Owners Mike & Wayan, he from Tuscon, she from Bali, are gracious, knowledgeable and kind of heart. We stayed in a spacious &... More

Truly this is one our favorite B&Bs. We have been there 4 times and each time it's a great visit. It is off the beaten path and it is worth it. You are close to nature and it's a short distance for a hike. It's a perfect setting to sit on the porch and watch the sunsets and sunrises. It's... More

Just got home from a beautiful two night stay. The location seems remote, but is actually just 10-15 minutes to the Interstate in Tucson. MIke and Wayan were great hosts. Their B&B is wonderfully unique, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfasts are fabulous and plentiful, the coffee from Bali is special, and, best of all, you're staying off... More

Just want to share the good feelings and good experience from my stay at Crickethead B&B. Was exciting to be located in the desert, so close to nature. We had some good viewings of a variety of wildlife during different times of the day. The accommodations are very warm and comfortable. The decorations and ambiance very interesting. Breakfast was delicious... More

My husband and I stayed at the Crickethead Inn for 2 nights during our honeymoon. We picked this B&B because of it's incredibly close proximity to Saguaro National Park, as well as being just under an hour away from Kitt Peak Observatory. We were not disappointed. Crickethead is located down a long dirt road, and you really feel like you... More
