I'll start by saying, this was not my dream vacation. I did the adult beach vacation a few months ago, so this one was all for my daughter who lives, breathes, sleeps, draws, reads, rides and loves horses and horse back riding. She is almost 7, but has been taking lessons for a few years, and it took quite some... More

The ranch was everything I had hoped for. I will start with this was a family vacation with kids ages 10 and 12. We rode at least twice a day. I recommend the Mountain Adventure Ride. It was 3.5 hours with stunning views and plenty of adventure. The breakfast ride was great too. Loved the pancake Bob! The lessons were... More

First of all, my family loved this vacation. Everyone agrees they'd like to go back next year. If you've never been to a dude ranch it's kind of like a ski vacation, but with horses. And there is plenty of non-horseback riding stuff to do. Here's a breakdown: HORSES: We rode twice per day and really enjoyed it. Horseback riding... More

My 9 year old son is insistent that I give this a 5 stars though i will try and make a list of suggestions on where i think some things can be further improved. All three of us between my significant other, son and me had a wonderful time. The ranch is really very nicely run. Horses are the central... More

Absolutely the best vacation ever. We stayed in a beautiful hacienda, with an incredible view. From the time we were picked up at Tuscon airport, until we were dropped off, every person we met went out of their way to make our stay the best possible. Food was delicious, rides were varied, and the cow work was a blast! Yes... More

Really enjoyed the trip. Lots of things to do. Horse riding is certainly the main focus, but lots to do for non-riders. Mountain biking is excellent for all levels. Tennis was a surprising addition, which was first rate. Make sure to hit the Cowboy BBQ on Wednesday nights, and the ride to breakfast on Thursday mornings. Ideal trip would be... More

This was our first trip to Tanque Verde, and we loved every minute of our stay here. Our room (one of the haciendas) was huge and very comfortable for our family of five. The flip down murphy beds, gigantic shower, private bedroom, ample storage and outdoor patio overlooking the desert were great. We loved having our morning coffee and evening... More

Beautiful property ....friendly staff. Disappointed in the ranch's approach to beginning horse folks. Should be more structured and helpful to enhance the ranch experience. Put us on a 4 hour mountain ride the first day without any instruction. Pool was poorly managed with the hot tub jets out 3 days and out of towels 3 out of 4 days. Food... More

First "ranch" experience - after visiting website, surprised it offered so many activities. You will never be bored! No T.V., spotty cell service so, don't go if you can't do without 'em (we played games before bed & didn't have one complaint from our teenage boys). Family of four, staying for 5 days/4 nights so, took advantage of all inclusive... More

"Unfortunately" I was here on business, and only for 2 days days at that...however, the lodging (room #22!), staff, food and above all, the location and overall atmosphere mean I will definitely return here on holiday! The food, the accomodation, the horse-back rides, the staff, the weather: they all conspire to make this a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!
