We very much enjoyed our relaxing desert stay. This B&B is so unique. Extraordinary experience. Loved sleeping with the exterior door open and the desert night air. The room was so southwestern. Comfy bed. Soft lighting. We loved the private porch and chimnea. So relaxing watching the sun set with wine and the star gazing. The inside courtyard was candle... More

This rustic B&B located away from the crowds of Tucson was an overall great experience. This location lets you see, hear and feel as if you’re living in the desert, but with the added bonus of a hot tub to watch the sunset over the horizon. About anything that you’d want is included in your room including toiletries, refrigerator, and... More

Just enough off the beaten path to feel like you are really in the desert amongst the saguaros and other cacti (you really are!) but only minutes from the national park, the Desert Museum, and many of the other attractions of the Tucson area. A beautiful house in the classic hacienda style, with very comfortably appointed rooms. And breakfasts far... More

It's a gem, it has great character and is within a stone's throw of the National Park. It's so quiet at night, a delightful place to relax. It was lovely having our own patio overlooking the desert. Everything possible was provided and the breakfast was great. The jacuzzi was an added bonus.

Three of us had the 2 bedroom suite at Casa Tierra and it was lovely. Adobe big house with an inner open air courtyard. Common room with coffee, tea, yogurt, granola, cookies, etc to help yourself anytime. Bedrooms quiet, beds, pillows, nice, lots of towels, dishes to do your own lunch in the room, even dish soap supplied. We had... More

We love the peace and quiet of the desert. This is a wonderful B&B to kick off your boots and settle in to be pampered. Dave Malmquist has everything you need for an exceptional vacation. Wake to the smell of coffee and muffins and corn bread. Sit down to a gourmet breakfast. Have all your questions answered about the surrounding... More

This was a beautiful, peaceful spot close to the Desert Museum. The rooms were nicely decorated and came complete with everything you need. We especially enjoyed our evenings on our patio with the chiminea. The interior courtyard with comfortable seating and fountain provided another spot to relax. Dave went out of his way the provide his guests with a warm... More

The desert is a surprising place. There's a lot more going on here than you may imagine. Down here in Arizona some people live pretty much in the desert, right on the border of the Saguaro national Park. If you know where to stay, you can try a desert stopover too. Casa Tierra is a lovely adobe (hand made Mexican... More

I stayed here 19 years ago and wanted to come back. It is a perfect location. Dave gives you the feeling of not only being a guest but staying there as a friend. The breakfast in his personal dining room is absolutely great. There are those little things which makes the stay perfect - a microwave and a small kitchen... More

I guess I’ll just pile on here with another five star review for Dave’s little gem in the desert, Casa Tierra. He says he’s been at it for 15 years . . . and he’s really good at it by now. He’s a retired mining engineer who’s worked all over the world, so I guess it’s no surprise that the... More
