The Innkeepers, Jim and Marion Hook, are the heart and soul of this amazing B & B. From the moment that they welcome you into their adobe style home, they make you feel like life long friends. Marion is a wonderful cook, and we would venture to say that there is no better breakfast in Tucson. Jim keeps the conversation... more

Run, do not walk, to the Adobe Rose Inn! Located in the Sam Hughes section of Tucson - a stones throw from the Univ of Arizona, the Adobe Rose is everything a great bed & breakfast should be! Marion & Jim (fellow Pittsburghers) truly make you feel welcome. The accomodations are clean, lovely and comfortable. The minute I returned to... more

May 26, 2009 | Trip type: Family

We rented four rooms for five days/nights as well as had a wedding ceremony and reception for 20 people in the beautiful courtyards and every thing was perfect. Jim and Marion, the innkeepers, started us off with a great breakfast every morning before a dip in the pool and then off to family activities around town. They helped us set... more

I went to the Adobe Rose for a Girlfriend's getaway. (We live on the NW Side) It was so wonderful to feel like I was in another place and time...but still be close to home! We were treated like queens and will go back again for another night of R & R. Jim and Marion are wonderful hosts and we... more

I have a friend going through a tough time, so I bought her the Girlfriends Night Out package - what fun we had! Jim and Marion are the consummate hosts and made sure that every hour of our visit was what we needed. From appetizers and champagne upon arrival, to a cozy outdoor area for "girl talk", to a fun... more

A delightful bed and breakfast. Absolutely the best breakfast. Better than any B&B, and we are B&B afficiandos. The Santa Rita room had a balcony and lots of interior, natural sunlight. Unfortunately I had to do some work, but the internet connections were good and the desk and table in the separate room were great. more

When we arrived at the Adobe Rose Inn I knew I had founds a bed and breakfast that truly cared about my comfort and well being. We stayed in the Santa Rita suite. The main bedroom was very comfortable. I was dubious about the futon in the main living area of the suite, but when they unfurled the memory foam... more

My partner and I stayed 5 days in early April. The location was superb. We spent time at the U or AZ and I even attended a lecture. We had the suite on the second floor. It was spacious but the futon in the living room area was not very pleasant for sleeping. The futon would tip up on one... more

As with any review I write, I feel it is important to be effusive as well as critical when making any evaluation. We love to use the expression "Nobody's perfect." In my opinion, that also applies to things like food, hotels and the like. First, let me say that the owners are lovely people (what do you expect?: Jim is... more

It is hard to define "just right" beause it's relative to personal preference. For us, "just right" in Tuscon has come to mean a terrific, historic , central location; comfortable, inviting, sophisticated lodging; delectable, unique, cheery breakfasts; plenty of great coffee; diversity, scintillating conversation and eclectic personalities . . . all this AND loving, attentive, bright, imaginative, urbane hosts. After... more
