We didn't stay here, but stopped in for dinner one night. The waitress was very curt, to the extent that we felt she was rude. She took our drink order, never stopped back to see if we wanted anything else. We've eaten there before & service has always been extremely slow, but on this particular night the service was so... more

We loved everything about it and can't wait to return. Jack, Ellen and all the staff went out of their way on all fronts for us. They were wonderful - we will definately be back (& not soon enough). A wonderful experience for us and for my parents who travelled with us. more

We were on the second floor the first night and yes, there is a street light that isn't a great pleasure. There is certainly nothing that the innkeepers can do about that! The town is going through a bit of a renaissance and many home owners and business folks are improving their properties. The effect is delightful and I look... more

Rooms are clean, yet spare. Our room was huge. We had wonderful views from our room and watched the seals feed just off shore in the morning. Included breakfast was your choice of juices, coffee, cold cereal, yogurt, toast, etc. Nothing fancy but more than enough. The owners are friendly and willing to talk about the place and the area,... more

A last minute change of plans left my daughter and I searching for a place to stay and, fortunately, a last minute call to Cohill's secured us a room. We arrived at 7PM after a long drive and were delighted to discover this small, warm and friendly, bayfront inn. Our room overlooked the narrows and, just as promised on their... more

Lubec is literally located at the easternmost part of the US, way downeast Maine. The town itself is very small, but has some cute shops, a nice library with wifi and is the gateway to Campobello Island, location of FDR's summer cottage. (Bring your passport....it's in Canada!) Cohill's Inn is warm, friendly, comfortable, and has great eats! The innkeeper, Jack,... more

This was our second stay at this location. Several years ago we stayed here when under a different management. We enjoy the Lubec area for its quiet beauty compared with places like Bar Harbor. This time we were pleasantly surprised by the new owners and the restaurant at Cohill's Inn. The place was packed and the energy was great on... more

Cohill's Inn is a modest and comfortable spot to stay. Excellent views on the channel side. Yes, there are street lamps right outside some windows, but I had no problem, as my windowshade blocked out the light from the lamp. The room was large and roomy, nice comforters, nice restaurant on premises. Downside: no microwave oven, no refrigerator, no internet... more

Didn't actually stay here. Happened upon it when we were touring the area and needed food. No menu's, only a chalkboard with the day's specials. Chipotle sweet potato soup was incredible! Margarita was great! Hubby's burger was terrific. Hostess brought over binoculars so we could watch the bald eagles soar over the nearby harbor and the seals swimming in with... more
