We stayed for one night in the Narrows Suite, a large suite that looks out over the narrows between Lubec and Campobello Island in Canada. Our arrival was a little chaotic because we were told that the suite would be unlocked with the keys inside but it turned out to be locked with the keys inside. Fortunately there is a... More

An old building with a totally updated and refurbished interior that is fully modern in function while carefully maintaining its charm and originality, including old rough beams, period and new wide board flooring. Everything is tastefully decorated loosely around a sea coast theme using some quirky touches like headboards that are constructed from old doors. Somehow, it all pulls together... More

The choices to stay in Lubec seem limited. The Water Street Tavern is in a good location. The upstairs rooms are fairly small although there was a closet and chest of drawers in the room so places for storage and you don't have to live out of the suitcase. As others have mentioned there is a 10% discount on breakfast... More

Well, the website needs to be changed -- I'm angry that the website says "breakfast included" (which would indeed make this a bed & breakfast), because breakfast is NOT included. You have to pay for breakfast (although there is a 10% discount for people staying in their rooms), and breakfast is not even served Tuesdays and Wednesdays -- probably fine... More

The owner's website says that breakfast is included with the room. We were given one donut and coffee on the first morning or our stay. We were offered a 10% discount off of breakfast on the second morning. We declined the offer and were forced to get coffee elsewhere because there is no coffeemaker in the room. The shower is... Booked a 3 night stay at The Water Street Tavern & Inn online by going thru their website, TripAdvisor, and other reviews. We were going right before their "busy season" so the rates were extremely reasonable. The Narrows Suite was so comfortable, I felt immediately at home the minute I walked in. The views from our 3 picture windows were... More

My husband and I spent two nights in "The Narrows" and the views from the windows were wonderful! We could see the boats in the harbor and the seals playing in the currents near Campobello Island. The staff and owner are so welcoming and the food is excellent. We chose to eat in the tavern both nights as the haddock... More

We spent two nights in the Narrows Suite, which had a great view for seal-watching and was overall very comfy and roomy. But your enjoyment of this room really depends on who is staying in the upstairs rooms. The floors are wooden, creaky and uninsulated, so anyone walking around up there makes loud tromping noises; voices also carry down, not... More

We stayed in Lubec for two nights. We ate dinner at Water Street the first night and is good enough to try a second night. The lobster Mac is quite good, as are the broiled scallops, but don't miss put on the Moqueca. It a fish site sort of thing with veggies and rice. Very tasty and worth a try.... More
