This seemed to be an older property in a very quiet area. The WiFi worked, and given the complete lack of a cell signal, I relied on that and the free phone service to contact the outside world. The muffins and coffee in the morning were good. The front desk was helpful in choosing a place for dinner.

Very nice, quite. Owners were great at giving directions to local lighthouses. We stayed in room next to office, very clean and comfortable, Fresh homemade muffins were great and they were able to tell us about the blueberry fields that we passed on way up, very interesting. We would love to come back to this area in 2015 and plan... More

If you find yourself visiting northern coastal Maine, try to stay at the Eastland Motel. Good conversation, friendly atmosphere, clean, spacious rooms...Nice place to stay. Fresh homemade blueberry muffins in the morning, along with fresh coffee, tea, fruit, and other goodies are offered as a courtesy to those who are staying with them. Comfy beds and lots of TV channels... More

Didn't have reservations but was able to get a room on a Friday night (10/3). Extremely friendly staff, rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Quiet area, no noise from other rooms. I would definitely stay here again. Location was on the main highway, easy access.

My wife and I visit northeastern Maine a couple of times a year. We like it there. One of the reasons is the Eastland Motel. Nice clean spacious rooms, dog friendly, reasonably priced, great service. The owners are wonderful people who make you feel right at home. They know the area and will suggest places to visit that are not... More

We were going to arrive late they helped by opening the door and leaving the key for us. When checking out the next morning we got great information on things to do besides what we were planning. The homemade muffins were great. The room was large and immaculate and the bath room had a amazing shower. If ever I am... More

We were looking for a place to stay in Lubec where we could bring our dog. This was exactly what we wanted. The owners had great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. There's great coastal walking/hiking nearby, and even on the Columbus Day holiday weekend we mostly had the trails to ourselves.

As a former resident of Lubec, I like to go back and visit from time to time and most times I've been back over the years I've stayed at the Eastland. I've stayed there through a management change and watched the upgrades happening. The room was spotlessly clean... truly immaculate, and, for the price, very well appointed. The muffins served... Thanks for the great review despite your lack of sleep. We are truly sorry and are aware of the "firm" mattress. However, we have more people come in and say they LOVE it than not. It is only two years old but, I am with you and need a soft pillow top. The majority of the rooms have NEW comfortable... More

My husband and I stayed at The Eastland Motel on Friday, August 22, 2014. We were pleasantly surprised by the property. The motel is an older style mom and pop located on the highway to Lubec. The motel is located on a main highway, but our room was very quiet. It was large, well equipped, and comfortable. The room and... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights. We had a room with a queen size bed. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the shower was great. We liked having a small refrigerator in the room, and we made use of the coffee maker. We would have liked to have had a DVD player in the room--the selection on... More
