Home Port Inn is one of the several B&Bs in the Lubec area. Lubec is a quaint little coastal town and Home Port Inn is right on the Main Street at the top of the hill. Down the hill, there's a decent size IGA general store, in case you need something that you forgot to pack, otherwise, Lubec is--I repeat--small.... More

I loved the design of this house since it's so different from houses where I'm from. I also liked the nautical theme and the overall interior design. We stayed in the Library Room. Their website said it was the smallest room and many other reviews complained about its size but living in Tokyo has changed my perspective on what is... More

Don't consider if allergic to cats. They have two active ones that have the run of the public areas, including the breakfast table. Don't know about breakfast as I had to leave. The friends that we were with said that breakfast was hearty and tasty.

We stayed at the Inn on a recent trip to Maine. Our reservation was made on a short notice so the only room available was the Library Room. Our stay was pleasant but the room was very small and the bathroom was miniscule. We saw the other rooms and they are large and comfortable so if possible avoid the Library... More

Home Port Inn is a very comfortable place to stay. Dave and Suzannah are very welcoming hosts. The room in which I stayed, #6, was filed with afternoon sun, of good size and featured a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was but a short walk down the hall. Certainly no big deal. I had fun meeting other guests, after returning... More

Suzannah greeted us at the door and welcomed us to their home. She showed us to our room which was quite comfortable. The bed linens were soft and felt so good after a day of travel. The Home Port Inn is located near the Canadian border which made our trip over to Campobello Island easy. The first morning we were... More

"Breakfast" Dave may take the credit for his special breakfast cereal, and it is good; but look for the woman behind the throne. Susannah has wonderful hot breakfast recipes that are surely to please. Home Port will be a good choice for a stay in Lubec. It is a good location close/in town and convenient to Campobello. Be forewarned, Home... More

Staying at Susannah and Dave's Home Port Inn was wonderful. It is a true B&B experience - you feel like you are a guest in their home, which you are. Dave and Susannah are friendly and welcoming. They used to run a restaurant, and their breakfasts were scrumptious - blueberry pancakes, home made muffins, cream cheese stuffed French toast. Other... More

Clean ,Friendly ,Easy to find ,New England charm and the breakfast was home cooked for real. We were very happy with the rooms and the beds where very comfortable. The Bay View room was the legacy of light. Sunsets from the room over the water on the East Coast was a beautiful treat and Lubec gets the sun rise first!... More

We planned our trip to Lubec because it sounded like a quiet little area of Maine (which we needed after the summer crowds in Bar Harbor and Kennebunk). Lubec was not a disappointment, and the Home Port Inn was truly wonderful. We were in the Bay View Room, a bright and cheerful room with many windows that overlook the bay.... More
