I've never met anyone who made me feel at home so quickly. Sue is friendly and helpful and Dennis is a great cook! I was going to Mathias Seal Island the next day and Sue fixed a bagged breakfast for me to take as I had to leave very early. We loved conversing with Sue and the other guests and... More

We stayed in the Peacock Suite at the Peacock House during our 2 night stay in Lubec. This B&B is a wonderful place to stay -- the rooms are upscale, the breakfasts are wonderful and the proprietors are helpful and friendly. During our stay TS Arthur knocked out power to the whole county. Despite that the Peacock managed to provide... More

We arrived to the aroma of freshly baked cookies and a friendly host eager to show us her beautifully appointed home. Each room was designed for the comfort of guests with attention paid to the details. Our room, The Peacock Room, was thoughtfully designed and quite lovely. Sue and Dennis have truly created a wonderful B &B.

My wife and I were fortunate to have stayed with Sue and Dennis Baker at The Peacock House Bed and Breakfast while visiting Lubec, Maine. Every aspect of our stay was superb. We were warmly greeted by Dennis when we arrived and both Sue and Dennis gave us a tour of their beautiful home. The house was immaculate and beautifully... More

Two couples traveling to northern Maine found a very pleasant surprise in the Peacock House. A very beautiful inn, impeccably clean, with welcoming hosts and a well-stocked library. A gem of the north coast. Two blocks from the New Brunswick border for superb access to Campobello island. Dennis prepared a tasty breakfast and Sue, extremely well-read, shared her top 10... More

Fortunately, my wife and I selected Lubec, Maine as the doorway for the start of our three week trip through the Canadian Maritime Provinces. And, that selection led us to choose The Peacock House B&B for our first night accommodation. There were no downsides to our stay. Everything was perfect; from the exterior view of the property (gorgeous), to the... More

Sue and Dennis provided the very best during our recent stay as a family for the 2014 Bay of Fundy International Marathon. Quiet, comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfasts, and great conversations with our hosts and other guests made for a perfect weekend. The location is a several block walk up the hill from the waterfront - easily accessible but far enough... More

Read through some of the 115 five star reviews, and you will quickly see a pattern. Sue and Dennis are superlative innkeepers in many ways! They are genuine, very conversant and helpful, and they keep one of the cleanest B & B's in the universe. Spend a night or two there, and you will feel like they have been lifelong... More

My husband & I planned this as a relaxing get-a-way and as a springboard location to access Campobello Island for our first visit there. We have enjoyed many B & Bs but this stay outshone all our other stays! We won't be the first to say "Sue & Dennis were such genuine and great hosts who would do anything for... More

Traveling off season, we did not make reservations. Normally I believe one would need reservations to stay here. The inn is very nice with an interesting couple as owners as well as interesting guests from a wide range of places across the globe. The inn is very clean, breakfast was excellent, and the room was very nice. Also the recommendations... More
