Having recently returned from a trip through New England, there are two B&Bs I stayed at that have really stuck with me and Peacock House is one of them. When I first pulled up, Sue greeted me on the porch. She then proceeded to show me through the beautiful home she and husband Dennis have updated and maintained. Sue is... More

We've stayed twice at the Peacock House. The hosts are very welcoming and the accommodations superb. Comfortable beds, clean and quiet rooms, and a delicious breakfast. Lubec is a charming little town and the area has much to offer.

Sue and Dennis are truly kind souls opening their beautiful B and B up and treating their guests like family. We recently stayed with them to attend a family memorial service. Sue and Dennis welcomed us weary travelers with compassion and it was truly appreciated. We have stayed with them before and will certainly do so again. Tidy, neat well... More

I've been derelict in not reviewing prior to this but I generally review our dining stops. I almost hate to share the Peacock House. We have stayed there 3 times and are already booked with a stay in June of 2015. They fill up fast. The place is probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Sue and Dennis are... More

We came for one night in October. Weather was less than desirable but the accommodations were perfect. We stayed in the Margaret Chase Smith Suite. Breakfast was great! Dinner dining is somewhat limited in the are so, if driving in, you might want to stop in Machias first. A must see is the light house. Highly recommend.

I want to start off by saying that a review I read about the Peacock House originally troubled me. It stated that you had to eat with other guests, instead of alone, and the visitors didn't like that. Anyone that knows me will attest that I am not an outgoing person and I tend to stay by myself, so this... More

This was our first ever B&B experience and The Peacock House has set the bar HIGH for future B&B's!! Sue and Dennis are so incredibly warm, friendly and hospitable. Our room was very cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated. They let us in on area tips and recommendations that proved to be very helpful. We slept well and thoroughly enjoyed the... More

We were happy to stay overnight at the Peacock House in Lubec. It is very close to Campobello Island and to Quoddy Head Lighthouse, so it makes for a perfect stay to visit these places and sight see in the area. Our hosts were warm and friendly, eager to assist us in whatever way possible. Breakfast was delightful with great... More

We stayed for one night at the Seaglass suiteand enjoyed the Peacock House Bed and Breakfast very much. Everything is very clean, the Inn keepers were very friendly and made us feel at home and breakfast was delicious. Parking is available and everything is in walking distance. We can highly recommend this B&B.
