My husband and I stumbled across West Quoddy Head on trip advisor. What an incredible place. Quaint rustic cabin with incredible ocean views. We called the cabin home away from home for two nights and loved it! Felt like we had a private light house just down the road. The Cabin at West Quoddy Head Station is quintessential rustic Maine... This was a real find for our traveling family of six. Gorgeous location just outside of Lubec and 10-minute walk to the West Quoddy Lighthouse. We rented two suites, the Washington and Jefferson, and also had use of a 2nd-floor balcony for eating and watching the tides and stars and a tower with 360 degree views. It isn't luxurious, but... The Station was a beautiful, clean place to spend a birthday! Thanks to TripAdvisor, we knew to shop in Bangor, and bring in our groceries. So, we provided our own breakfasts which was ideal. We stayed in "The Camp" which was cozy and clean. The "Keeper" was helpful, and mostly absent (which was also fine with us). A great time... More

My rating follows the AAA method. 5 bars are Ritz or truly exceptional experiences. With that out the way, we loved this way off the beaten path **most eastern** USA inn. While it isn't the Ritz, it's not intended to be either. Therein lies the quaint charm. We were there only one night...regretfully. The lodge gave us a real down... More

At nearly $200 a night in the high season, (in East Gish Maine, mind you,) one might expect a bed and breakfast to deliver at least a comfortable bed, nice sheets, matching towels, quality deck furniture and a clean bathroom. Staff on premises. Basics. Well, not so much. Our room, above a former Coast Guard station garage has a nice... More

My husband and I have stayed at the West Quoddy Station for the last two years and will return next year and probably every year thereafter. The place has a kind of magic atmosphere that sneaks up on you. We love the Keeper's Cottage with its beautiful colors and antique light fixtures. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay is provided.... More

Our first trip to Down East and we were fortunate to find this wonderful inn. Upon our hosts recommendation we stayed in the Keepers Cottage. This is a wonderful reproduction of the original light keepers cottage that served the West Quoddy Lighthouse years ago. It is a marvel of efficiency that was built to the exact dimensions of the original... More

Staying in this beautifully restored Coast Guard Station was a memorable way to end each day and greet each morning in Lubec. The views are unspoiled and stunning. Bill, our host, was affable and gracious. We had nice weather until Hurricane Arthur decided to pay a visit. We stayed in our suite, Kimball, enjoying our family and friends while the... More

I had the unique experience of travelling solo and having the entire barracks/house to myself for the evening. You won't find a better location to watch the sunset from a private deck, enjoy indigo-dark skies for stargazing (a thrill for city-dwellers with light pollution), and watch the sunrise (a walk or short drive) from the lighthouse at the Easternmost point.... My husband and I recently spent three nights in the Washington Suite which is located in this neat renovated Coast Guard station. It's located in a terrific area for hiking and outdoor activities. We spent one day on Campobello Island visiting the Roosevelt International Park and the East Quoddy Head Lighthouse. We spent a second day hiking at West Quoddy... More
