Stayed here as part of a conference booking and it started badly with my room having been allocated as smoking despite my request for non-smoking. I had a long wait at reception and then was shown to another room which was the take it or leave it choice. The room was OK but disappointing when compared to the spectacular lobby... more

I have never been treated like they treated me before. This is the first time I had stayed in a hotel of this quality. It started as soon as we drove up in front and the valet personel met us. Because we had been traveling in our car for several days previous to arriving we were disorganized as to what... more

It was our pleasure to have you as our guest and I am glad you had an opportunity to explore the New England area. this was by far the worst hotel I've ever experienced! I'm surprised that its still standing! The best was the portable AC units with the vent duct taped to the window with cardboard.... For over $200/night - I would have been more comfortable in my car!!! If you are thinking about staying here, having a wedding or conference here -... more

Tries to hang on to old grandeur but falls flat. Rooms are not well kept at all. Wallpaper coming off of walls in bathroom, mildewy odor, old but no longer "elegant." No free internet service in rooms; not even a free cup of coffee available downstairs let alone a "Hampton breakfast." Service and staff very nice. more

Let me begin by saying I have traveled weekly for business for 20 years. When I observe that a hotel is not up to par with what it should be, I am very experienced and sincere in my comments here - it is not a little issue blown into a big one. Our stay was so bad, I will be... more

I have never written a review, but feel compelled to do so following a stay at this disgrace of a property. Up on arrival, I waited in a line of traffic 20 minutes for a valet to take the car. He eventually came down the block to greet me in the pouring rain, handed me a ticket and left me... more

I stayed at the Biltmore while attending a conference at the nearby Convention Center. I was booked into a corner suite, with great views of the city, very spacious siting room, bedroom, bathroom and closet. The bed was very comfortable. It was obviously an old hotel that had been remodeled, some of the lights were difficult to figure out and... more

This was our first stay at the Biltmore while attending a wedding and we hope to return in the near future just to experience the city. From check-in to check-out every single employee from doorman, front desk staff, to chambermaid was cheerful, gracious and helpful. Even a brief encounter with a manager in the elevator was an informative one; recomending... more

This is like staying in the hotel they based the 'Disney Tower of Terror' ride on. Yes, it is dated but that is the charm of the place. It is historic, not run down or past it's prime as others would have you believe. The staff were excellent, very helpfull. McCormick & Schmick's is the restaurant which is quite simply... more

Thank you for sharing your most recent positive comments regarding the wonderful experience you had during your stay at the Providence Biltmore. The Providence Biltmore was built in 1922 with the design of New York architects Warren and Wetmore, whose other commissions included Grand Central Station.
