My daughter and I planned a college visit to Providence. We called Brown University and were given the name of this hotel. In spite of the previous warnings on Tripadvisor we stayed there based on this recommendation. In general our stay at the property was unpleasant and substandard. Front desk: understaffed, disorganized, chaotic, frequently had long lines. Rooms: Small, dark,... more

A lot of construction on roads surrounding hotel. Hotel hallways were dirty and noisy. Had numerous problems which I discussed with front desk. Hotel did nothing to address my concerns (air conditioning weak at night, telephone in room did not work. sink faucet had hot water on right side instead of left. previous guest had set alarm and housekeeping did... more

This hotel has beautiful rooms for a decent price and is close by to the Brown University campus. The positives end there, unfortunately. The staff is quite incompetent and clearly has no forms of communication with each other. The check-in, stay, and check-out was quite disastrous, I ended up filing 7 different complaints while I was there and was overcharged... more

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at in the US, in 30 years of travelling in and around the country. Rude, unhelpful staff, with open warfare between check-in desk and housekeeping. Reception area crowded at 4pm with guests waiting for rooms to become available (advertised check-in time in 3pm). No management on duty over the 3 days of Labor... more

The Radisson Hotel in Providence is located near the downtown area. When I stayed (late August) the surrounding area looked like it had been bombed. Debris everywhere, construction, barriers and barrels everywhere, etc. The hotel itself looks nice at first glance. The rooms are average, or maybe a bit on the small side. My room had no closet to hang... more

The room was okay, but the location was unsettling. It's located in quite an isolated area, and didn't make me feel very safe. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and the bathroom spacious but it was pretty noisy as the hotel is right next to the highway. It was cool that they had sleep number beds. We arrived... more

We booked through Expedia and the hotel didn't have our request. We had wanted a non-smoking and all they had was smoking left. My wife and I (after a long drive) weren't at our coolest, but the front-desk staff was patient and ultimately found a cancellation to meet our needs. We had some apps in the lounge and they weren't... more

Overall, I liked this hotel and would stay there again. The rooms were a little small but were still decent. The shower spray was strong. One of the elevators did break so we had to wait a while longer for an elevator. The staff was good and the rooms and the hotel was clean. The hotel overlooks the water but... more

The hotel is isolated between Interstate 195 and an off-ramp. There's only a warehouse next door. The off-ramp is under major reconstruction so on one side of the hotel you have 8 lanes of traffic and on the other side you have an off-ramp and construction zone. I recommend going for the construction side as it's a bit less noisy... more

This hotel offers zero ammenities and some of the rudest staff that I have come across nationwide. there is virtually no food available after 10pm, and the food that you can get during the day is similar to a school cafeteria. The sleep number bed is a joke. The climate control is awful, unless you like it warm. \Oh yes,... more
