Based on the reviews we were not suprised when we arrived. The rooms are spacious with nice size bathrooms. Everything was excellent. The hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants. I did not rate the hotel with 5 stars as it does not offer the amenities of many 5 star properties but in terms of location, cleanliness, etc it... more

We stayed at the Renaissance Providence hotel while we were in town for a friend's wedding. The price of a king room was very reasonable and made even more so with AAA discount. From the valet parking to check in to the bell hop, the service was friendly and helpful. We even asked for late checkout which was not a... more

Nicely decorated and furnished. Very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced for what you get. My wife and I will stay here again when we visit Providence next time. No question about it. more

We stopped off on the way back from Mass. to spend the night, so as not to make the long drive home. Pleasantly surprised by the very large room and bathroom, flat screen tv, and amenities. Didn't really get beyond the room, but it was comfortable, with two queen beds. Best thing is we pricelined it for 65 bucks, and... more

This was our second stay at the Renaissance Providence, and it was another wonderful experience overall. The staff is incredibly attentitive and the rooms are lovely. We went on the weekend of our 15th anniversary, and we mentioned that at check-in. After an evening out at Waterfire, we arrived back in our room to discover a plate of chocolate-dipped strawberries... more

I stay at Marriott's a lot with my family since they all participate in their rewards program. Often they are decent with clean rooms and okay service. However, this Marriott is a definite exception. Despite the high price tag due to graduation weekend in Providence, it was a good value for the Marriottt name. The room was more trendy than... more

We absolutely loved the hotel. The history is boundless (built in 1929!) and the architecture is stunning. They just received their fourth star from AAA and I see why. The services were attentive and professional. Wish there were a few restaurant options at the hotel – but the hotel had a good one (pricey). All guests get valet parking –... more

Stayed for a couple of days and had a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. The hotel is an old temple that has a nice elegant feel to it. There is a very good bar and restaurant downstairs. The location is excellent. It is located across from the capitol building and offers great views... more

The Renaissance is very impressive from the exterior - very commanding. The location is so-so unless you want to spend most of your time at Providence Place - then this is ideal. The rooms were okay - they seemed a little tired - but the beds were very comfortable. The service was very good and worked really hard to be... more
