Although it is centrally located and the front desk staff was helpful, the rooms are horribly outdated. From the carpet to the linens, it was bare minimum and no frills. In a major need of renovation! The TV didn't work, the HVAC was loud and the beds were uncomfortable. Parking was two blocks away. Central location, but the Inn could... More

The room was perfectly comfortable, but the office was not well-staffed for my arrival; the elevator is shared with (perfectly polite) undergrads staying in the dorm on the lower floors; and the whole building is exceedingly noisy -- not so good if you have to wake up early. not easy to find a quick breakfast early either unless you know... I read some of the other reviews before booking this hotel, and they made me a little nervous. However, since we were in town to visit Brown University, it just made sense to stay on campus. We were really glad we did. The room was beautiful and spacious. Mattresses were a little hard, but ok. All standard amenities were there,... More

We stayed for a week during December and enjoyed the campus proximity and livelystudent life all around us. The room was comfortable, had armoire with cable TV, free wireless broadband internet (and a free computer station down the hall if you didn't bring yours) and a simple continental breakfast of pastries and decent coffee and juice in a quiet lounge.... The one and only reason to stay here is location: in fact you should think carefully about how desperately you need to be on campus and research B&B's in the area first, in my opinion. Do you care whether you are staying in a norm, where marching bands can suddenly walk down the street and there are spontaneous eruptions of... More

Based on the reviews. I booked one night here for my son and I for our college visit to Brown. The rooms are old and in need of some freshening but what was extremely disturbing was the strong odor coming out of the air conditioner. My son thought it smelled of yeast and I could not place it but it... More

Stayed here for one night with husband and two teens while we were visiting colleges. Since this hotel is the upper floors of a dorm, it could not be better located for visiting Brown. We had two rooms, each with 2 beds. The hotel booked us into a suite configuration where we also had a central living room accessible from... More

The Saunders Inn is a very small hotel on the Brown University Campus. It is available to the public for overnight stays. I do some business with Brown Univ so I sometimes stay there on business travel. The Inn is very convenient to campus. The rooms are similar to a best western, and there is an excellent continental breakfast in... More
